Being an old helo pilot myself, flying any type of 'external load' requires a very special skillset. I've done it, and done it well. But that was simply transporting netted cargo from one place to another over the tree line. Manipulating an almost two ton steel ball (repeatedly) against a fixed object is another level entirely, especially in a ship that size (Super Puma). If you look at 1:26 thru 1:29, that three second clip will show the pilot performing a 'rocking-horse' maneuver from a fixed position rather than actually flying forward and backward. And contrary to popular belief (TV and movies) when a pilot is in a hover, they do not stay in one exact spot, they shift around a bit (L-R/F-B) especially in OGE hover because of dramatically increased wingtip (blade) vortices.
