Such a simple yet beautiful love song. Thank you Wreckless Eric for recklessly writing a 2 chord song

The greatest love song ever. If someone ever manages to pick the universe apart and find out how it works, I'm sure this song and the Eric and Amy love story will be at the heart of it. Fucking magic.

This song has been covered by dozens of artists, including some pretty well-known names (Monkees, Green Day, Mental as Anything, Cage the Elephant). Someday someone will actually get on the radio with it, you can't hold down a song like this forever.

I've loved this song for a long time. Just discovering Amy, and loving her music as well. I don't know if Eric went the whole wide world to find 'er, but it was well worth the effort.

I worked for STIFF RECORDS for a while in the 70`s like Eric but his talent was not performing but getting pissed, this video gives you an idea of his talent.

Have loved the song since 1978 - still remember how I felt like I was exploring a whole new world unwrapping the album and admiring that magical cover with the Rickenbacker and the 'I'm a mess' badge...

With his wife by his side here co-performing this anthem to loneliness and longing it kinda chokes the heart and soul outta this timeless classic, IMHO. :(

Remember when it first came out. Always felt it was underappreciated. Why didn't he write more? Sing more? This was kind of the Stiff Records anthem for me.
