The first time I saw Palau from the air there was an optical illusion of a boat suspended thirty feet above the water's surface. It took my brain a few seconds to figure it out. The boat was on the water but the water was so clear that the turqoise bottom thirty feet below looked like the surface of water. That was 28 years ago diving with Sam's Tours. The memory of a life time.

Hi Jonathon. Another absolutely stunning video....the underwater photography is beautiful to say the least! I 💘 Love the way you inter-twine the marine life with the wrecks, and show all that has come to pass over the years. I find it amazing that these evil machines of war have, in the end, benefitted the oceans as a spawning habitat for both plants and animals. 👏 BRAVO to you and your team for a job very well done....✌😊

We were supposed to go dive there when I was over there in 1980. Unfortunately, Continental Air Micronesia ended that dream on the island of Yap. Watching these things rust, and break down, and be completely overcome by nature, it’s hard not to be humbled with the realization that everything we’ve ever built and ever will build will eventually, one way or another, be broken down and subsumed into this ever changing and evolving planet and universe. I don’t even mean that to sound negative or depressing, it’s not imo. It just is, and there’s no escaping it, and that’s okay, and it should make us value and respect the incredible beauty of it all, and make us grateful to be a part of it.
