Bruh, I can tell you why you struggled in both games.You gotta put opponent in a HOLD. You see they have ungodly stamina and recovery...you gotta put them in a choke old, , arm bar, figure 4, bear hug , something! When you stand by their head or legs when they are on the mat and hit the right button, it initiates a hold. That's how you weaken them I've beaten this game on one quarter with that! My goto team was DiBiase and Hogan. Hogan had the Boston Crab and DiBiase had the figure 4 Hold moves are how you win!

I'm not sure if this still applies but in superstars in arcade I used same tag team as you, but macho man has/had a running lariat clothesline that andre couldn't block like other running clothes lines

For me, Andre and DiBiase were harder. At least with the LOD, all I did was just keep punching until my partner "powered up" tag him to automatically win grapples and repeat. Or just lure them out the ring and beat them with the stairs and pray I win by count out. 😁

You HAD to keep DiBiase from tagging Andre in. Andre The Giant could decimate your health bar in seconds. All you can do is try to survive until Andre tags out.

Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior form the best team in WWF Superstars. When Andre tags in, have Macho Man spam his running clothesline on him. That move doesn't piss off Andre, or any CPU opponent. Oh, DON'T try a power move on Andre except for just ONE body slam. Andre is the more easier CPU opponent to beat.

There is a trick in WWF Superstars where you body slam your opponent, walk behind his head, but don't pick him up, wait a moment for him to stand up, and he will stand up tired, leaving him vulnerable for another attack! 🤠✌

I mastered WWF Superstars to the point that I finished the game without losing one life bar using the combos of Boss Man/Ultimate Warrior, Boss Man/ Macho Man, and Ultimate Warrior/Macho Man. Best move in the game is Macho Man's flying clothesline on Andre the Giant.

Ricky J, have you seen the backstage videos that guy made with his camcorder from the 80s with Hawk, Animal, Sting, and others doing coke and goofing off? It's pretty crazy. It's on YT. Supposedly there's some vids of Hulk doing stuff too that Bubba the Love Sponge has, but Idk. Anything harder than alcohol or maybe marijuana scares the hell out of me.

I'd say that LOD is definitely harder to beat than Andre and Dibiase. If you do certain things with Ted and Andre, like throw them out the ring on the floor a lot, you can drain their energy a lot. You just have to worry about the time running out more than anything. LOD usually requires more than one quarter, unless you're very skilled.

DON'T use Earthquake and Slaughter together. They are too slow and you will get flipped over if you try to spam running attacks with them.

Macho and Warrior was my super tag team. They had the best clotheslines in game and including punch combinations. Not to mention Macho's jumping knee strike and Warrior's shoulder block. I would flip the game in one quarter. Once you zone both DiBiase and Andre. Using a well placed half stepped linear clotheslines. You can force the A.I. to match up your running clotheslines to connect. Rinse and repeat. I never used my Macho to slam Andre, I left that up to Warrior. But not until I felt Andre was weakened enough for a slam.

You are 100% right on, man! All other NOOBs don't know what they are talking about. Duggan is the weakest one to use because he is too slow and his face planting move is useless if you are too close facing the ropes.

One tactic I use against Megabucks is using Savage's Flying Necktie Clothesline against Andre from different angles in the ring. Andre usually tires after about 4 or 5 times and tags in Ted. Then you can beat Him up.

Well that's the only wrestler you could beat Andre with like that as other wrestlers you gotta Dodge his hit and go into to whip him to ropes and flip him and stomp him because you won't win graple with him that's why I would hope dibiase would fight initially in match

the Megabucks was always determined by which wrestlers you chose Andre was immune to almost every form of attack, but you needed a clothesline to knock him down

Andre and DiBiase were a cake walk...with warrior,hogan or savage...just spam the punch on Andre,you can interrupt his attack

To me LoD are harder, they have double damage and health and you have to be very careful if you're on the LoD's half of the ring as if you get hit with the Doomsday device, it's basically a credit to kick out, as what left of you're health goes bye-bye As far as The Megabucks, Andre is a near unstoppable golem, but Ted isn't, so just light Ted up when he's legal

In many ways the legends character models are better then some of the 2k legend if reference to wrestlers that had died cause they can't bring them in to face scan them but the sprites look amazing in wrestlefest 😊

Ted Debiase in WWF Superstars is just a palette swap of Hacksaw Jim Duggin. That doesn't necessarily mean that Ted is easy to defeat by using the same strategy to beat Jim though. 😋

I remember thinking it was possible that some expert could possibly beat Legion of Doom on one quarter... so I kept trying and trying... Andre the Giant and Million Dollar Man... that was just frustration and clearly impossible on one quarter without some glitch.

I didn't get to play Wrestlefest too much since it wasn't anywhere i frequented. However, on Superstars after months of playing at the Student Union in college I could beat it with one quarter. My favorite tag team was the Macho Man and the Big Bossman.

If you utilize “hot” tags, and tag your partner in when they’re powering up in Wrestlefest you can pummel the Legion of Doom. Also, using a team of submission finishers is an easier way to defeat Hawk and Animal. If they’re hurt enough, they will submit before it can broken up by their partner. If you pin them, they will almost always get saved by their counterpart. On the other hand, Dibiase and Andre in Superstars is relentless. You can do the Irish whip and backdrop to Andre but it will only work a short amount of time and it does very little damage to hurt him. All it does is drain the clock. Dibiase is just as hard as Andre, just different. Hands down, they’re harder to beat with one credit than LOD is.

I had a cheese pattern for Superstars involving Big Boss Man and the Ultimate Warrior with the kick button while pulling up or down. Beat the whole game that way. Never figured out anything similar for Wrestlefest so I never beat it. Lol

Randy Savage has a very effective running kick. It works against Dibiase and Andre. But the best character to beat Andre is Honky tonk's running punch.

IMO, (heh heh, AFTER I discovered my forever TT Wrestlefest champs) it is the Mega Bucks! LOD's second wind comeback is always hard to contend with, but MDM was so slippery and when he tags Andre, well, only time I (narrowly) beat them (after $6 of Q's too) was with Hogan and Warrior.

The answer is Superstars... Andre is damn near impossible to damage... at least on WrestleFest you could time a running strike on LOD when they were getting up.. I could reliably beat WrestleFest on one quarter... Superstars was at least a few dollars... The truck with WrestleFest is using Dibiase/Warrior, and winning by submission with Dibiase's figure four... Nice and easy...

If you do try it, stand literally on their feet, and when they start to get up, immediately do a dash attack... Works with Warrior's running clothesline, DiBiase's spinning elbow, and most importantly, when the opponents are in the danger zone, Dibiase's kitchen sink knee... Warrior's tackle isn't reliable in that situation, though

I use a MAME cheat code to play as them. Playing as LOD in Wrestlefest gives no issues, but playing as Dibiase and Andre could crash the game if you win via a submission.

In the arcade you could join as player two during the LOD match and play as them. Easy to get stuck doing their finishing move though.

I'm currently trying to beat Hawk and Animal as Jake and DiBiase (without using Regain Health) in WrestleFest. I've noticed that the grappling system doesn't seem to care about your button presses much, I think the CPU decides the outcome based on health, how long one has been dominating, and probably some other factors as well. When the CPU decides it's your turn to win a grapple, you don't even need to mash the buttons, a couple of presses is enough. The kick has way less reach and is basically useless in this game, as the CPU will always punch you, and the kick will NEVER win against that. I got the LoD to match-ending health three times so far (they have 2x the health compared to everyone else), but they always kick out at 2, even when I've gotten the chance to pin multiple times in a row. I actually won most prior matches with "The Million Dollar Dream" hold, but I'm sure these guys won't yield to that. I hope that the game is more fair (as in the code not deciding who wins grapples etc) in VS mode. If I ever beat these guys with the single credit, I'll start learning Superstars more. The kick is actually really good in Superstars, btw.

Superstars was a quarter muncher. Takes me a few bucks in credits to reach and then beat the champs. Wrestlefest I can do it all in one or two credits. With any team or especially LOD, start with a wrestler that has a bodyslam. Slam them over the ropes to the floor. Jump off the turnbuckle with a double axe handle, then pick up the stairs or other weapon and repeatedly hit your opponent to just before the count out. His health will be extremely low. Pin him, or if he tags just do the same to the other guy.
