Wow, I always wondered why one corner of the WWE ring ropes had those big lumps at each end, now it makes so much more sense.
@NapoIeoneBuonaparte4 жыл бұрын
It also helps to stand on because the lumps are thicker and a bigger place to stand on than the thin rope after it.

Thanks for making this video after I asked for you to show me how your ropes were spliced together

That's splendid. In WWE use same sisal ropes, before to install use soaked sisal ropes with kerosene. When it's dry, covered with tape colors. By the way, the turnbuckle were you have it, use Turnbuckle Jaw/Jaw.

Why in the hell would you soak the ropes in kerosene?
@damienalicea8696 Жыл бұрын
@@thecalibratedsuperstarslic4284 Because this will avoid damaging of sisal rope, the WWE used it in late of the '80s.

What are your thoughts on ropes vs cables? I like the look of ropes better, but in interviews most wrestlers seem to like cable.

Wow. Really makes me appreciate just how crazy the high flying wrestlers are if they're bouncing around on this and not worrying about it giving out. 😂
@N3RFTHIS Жыл бұрын
Yeah they are insane. And they do give out once in a while so that would make it even more crazy

Would Sisal rope have to be treated in anyway before applying tape?.Or stretched before use?

MoarPower hi mate I saw in your other comments about possibly building one ??? I'd be interested in maybe asking for you to do that and pricing ??
@N3RFTHIS5 жыл бұрын
@@australianghoststories476 Hey mate. Yeah Im happy to build it. Pricing depends on material costs. Your best bet is to search gumtree for building materials on the cheap. Used steel is the way to go. And I can then just build it for you.

What in the hell are you talking about? Soak it in kerosene! And what is a Sisal Rope? Your explanation made no sense at al!! Ok look I train people to become wrestlers for a living and I have never heard of what you're trying to explain 🤔 soaking it in kerosene that's just nuts man what is the purpose?.
@N3RFTHIS Жыл бұрын
Sisal rope and manilla rope are natural fiber ropes used by many wrestling promotions and they are a common choice for large promotions like WWE. Natural fiber ropes that are wrapped in tape can hold moisture, grow mould, fungus and degrade quickly unless they are treated. Commonly this is done with a blend of linseed oil and kerosene.
