A wrestling ring is made of of 4 things. 1. Steel. Which is the frame of the ring. 2. Wood. Usually planks. That go across the steel beams. That make the floor. 3. Thin layer of padding that goes on top of the wood. 4. A canvas that covers it all. Then theirs the 3 ropes lol. Either cable ropes or actual rope. WWE is the only major company that uses actual rope. Its old school.

The ring is made of (from bottom up) slightly flexible steel beams that supports wood that's covered by an inch and a half thick of padding that's then covered by a tarp. That's why there's a little bounce and it sounds so hard. Wood and steel mixed with the contact.

I went to a wrestling show which was very small and saw the ring being disassembled and it's wood with a thin layer of foam then the canvas I could see the welts on the backs of the wrestlers
