And even if it didn’t have counterplay slinger still has no map pressure and doesn’t perform well enough to be an adequate challenge for stronger teams. The same goes for wraith his 1v1 is shit and they are making it more shit. If slingers gun was so problematic they could’ve given him something else to compensate for what they are taking away but no they wouldn’t even address that before jumping straight into the nerfs.

Deathslingers ADS nerf I think is fine but why in the ever living crap increase his terror radius from 24 to 32 meters that is what is stupid about his nerfs he is a 110% killer. Like common devs use your brains.

I get that new players hate him, but I've played against low mmr wraiths in the past and they were complete garbage at using him. Had no idea how to use his power efficiently.

The definition of op doesn’t mean that it’s good, it just means it’s too easy to use for what it does, pre nerf spirit was op because she could just stand at a pallet and get a hit from it, nurse and blight aren’t since they at least require some skill to use their powers effectively. Nurse and blight are just good, not overpowered

@@camdenmoore5069 Thats honestly a terrible way to balance, undefeatable bullshit isnt okay regardless of how long it takes to learn it. Sniper in TF2 and Akuma in Tekken are good examples, doesnt matter that you need to 'git gud' if it just deletes any and all possible counter play. You lost because of their pick, not because of anything *you* did. Sniper's instant 150 damage any time without anything but 'I clicked on your head good' in the the type of game tf2 is isnt okay, thats why the bot crisis can exist is because its just *too strong*, Akuma breaks every rule of Tekken with chip damage, demon flips, and touch of death bullshit so 'dur hur hes harder to play than Katarina so its okay' isnt 'balance', it just means less people get to exploit how broken it is. A perfect nurse just wins the game, not because of any choice you made, not because of any mind games, but because they picked nurse, doesnt matter how good you are-they *picked nurse* and won. I personally dont think Nurse is super broken in that way, but thats really besides the point-it doesnt matter how 'hard' something is to do if its broken, its broken, full stop.

@@camdenmoore5069 I never said nurse and blight were op but they are certainly way stronger than wraith (top 2 killers). Plus wraith is easy to play but there is one simple counter: dropping pallets early. Nurse and blight are much harder to counter and most players at high rank are insane at them so if anything they should have received nerfs and wraith should have either stayed where he was or had some small buffs.

@@punishedwhispers1218 you lost me at sniper from tf2. he is balanced, he needs skill and is supossed to be an opressive class due to the power he has and the fact that he stays far away. thats why there are spies scouts or other snipers to take care of it, thats why a sniper sightline is of course not where you want to be.

Lately I only see really tight SWF online, it's almost impossible to enjoy playing killer. Effectively nerfing killers is just a more explicit decision considering the present state of the game. I guess it's time to quit DBD and/or refuse to play killer.

I understand the balance of fun between killer and survivor, but I will still state that the toxic bodyblocking of wraith because of his insane move speed needed to be adjusted some. Threatening does not equal overbearing, which if you find any wraith main, you fill find that level of "not fun" play as a survivor. Don't build a game to pro-level comp teams. Build it to the Gold level MMR players with an available skill ceiling for the Red ranks to take advantage of. Rank reset to Ash for everyone is obnoxious every month. Extend it to every 3 months or so and the community might level out some. Having someone hit Red rank 1, then take 2 weeks off and rank reset happens, then they are Ash IV and shitting on noobies is not a rewarding cycle of achievement. It punishes people who play casually.

And this is the kind of crap the devs listen to and why they do dumb shit like nerfing something that was fine as is. All that casual survivors want is to have an easy game, survivors who have played the game for a long time want to have a challenge. And killers get nothing but repetitive kicks in the balls by the devs who listen mostly to the players with maybe 20+ hours in the game. A killer match is you trying to win usually, and a survivor match is playing cookie clicker, yes that is probably an over simplification but you get the point I hope. Giving the survivors more objectives is what the devs need to do. And Remove God palettes, no counter play as killer and no skill required from the survivors. Balance the maps as well. Then we can talk about nerfing killers. Kinda not happy with the upcoming patch if you can't tell.

@@trc_301 no one said a chase mechanic and literally playing the game as a hunter is toxic. The mechanics that the wraith has under the present disposal are easy to exploit and abuse. This is why I said adjustment instead of outright nerf. BHVR always oversteps the killer aspect.

@@malthael1312 most definitely agree with that aspect. The survivor game mechanic is archaic at this point. There needs to be a branching of survivor focus instead of just gen rushing or otherwise general SWF killer bullying. My comment was more to temper the outliers of some excessive killer class abilities and play styles. The main issue is that you can come across an incredibly oppressive killer out of nowhere just because they are good. They don't need to be punished for it, but the factors of that level of aggression need to be identified. Lack of survivor skill, killer perks, add-ons, raw skill... Etc. Not just nerfing killers into the ground. Adjustments, not completely breaking a killer mechanic.
