My mama made homemade potatoes at breakfast...she’d cut them into little cubes, and fry them with oil with chopped onions and salt n pepper. We’d have the potatoes with eggs or a vegetable frittata, or she’d add the potatoes and onions to the frittata, then sausage or bacon fried crisp on the side, orange juice and coffee. Maybe bagels with cream cheese. Breakfast has always been my favorite meal.

Sounds great!

Wright At Home yes, it was great! The English breakfast looks pretty awesome time, though....maybe just a little less meat. I couldn’t eat all that sausage and bacon...but the idea of beans with eggs is appealing to me. Another breakfast I loved is when we would have leftover chile from the night before. My mom would put the chile and rice all together in a pan and fry eggs next to it. Very yummy! When I was in Germany, people ate little sandwiches at breakfast. Small sliced good rolls, with lunch meat and pickles. That was good too. Food is always so interesting to me in other countries.

Breakfasts are hard to do but here is how I think I got it down and all elements hot and served up 4 plates at same time to hung over mates that never made it home the night before. Pre-heat your oven obviously and the grill, oven tray I line with tin foil, sausages, bacon, sliced tomatoes in. Beans small pot start 20 minutes in say after your bacon on a slow simmer. Hash browns don't like so I use Birdseye waffles, double toaster put in and just do the initial toast one time or maybe twice from frozen, leave last time until your ready to plate. Beauty of using the toaster for your waffles is it free's up your oven and work space and you can forget about them. If you like black pudding in the pan they go ( I do ) along with your mushrooms......Cook off and then set aside, clean pan reduce heat and make your eggs, lots olive oil and baste your eggs yolks so it turns that opaque colour then they done and no crispy burned bums on they eggs. Breakfast's are a juggle but some planning its easy.

Beans small pot start 20 minutes in say after your bacon on a slow simmer. Beauty of using the toaster for your waffles is it free's up your oven and work space and you can forget about them. Of course people prefer toast also so work it out time wise. If you like black pudding in the pan they go ( I do ) along with your mushrooms......Cook off and then set aside, kitchen towel clean pan reduce heat and make your eggs, lots olive oil and baste your eggs yolks so it turns that opaque colour then they done and no crispy burned bums on the eggs. Oh lovely, though I like my eggs fried and sunny side up thank you! I do have a weird thing, I cannot stand bean juice on my plate, as goes all over my toast and egg. So I had a breakfast at a local cafe and was very specific about how I wouldn't have beans as I don't like bean juice near my toast and egg. When the meal came she proudly announced that the chef had put tomato juice on my plate so I could use it to mop up the bread. Argh! Is it me? :D
@girlnotlocal6 жыл бұрын
you should cook the bacon first. you dont need oil for bacon, because the fat will melt on the pan and turn into an oil base. then you can use the bacon fat to cook the rest of the food.
