You put individual concepts into their context, and as a result I've learned more from you about anatomy than any every other resource. My GPA thanks you 🙏

I can truly say that I feel honoured every time I watch your tutorials. The world is full of amazingness and Dr you are every part of the amazingness. When I feel I should give up because I am struggling in my old age at 59 to gain this degree you turn that negative into positive. Your knowledge is Wizard. I admire your tenacity and gosh only knows you make this world a better planet now and to be. So grateful.. I share the total respect for you, thank you so much...words do not seem adequate :D

Hi Dr Michael, how about the distance of the distal radio-ulnar joint? Should it be overlapped? How do we know if it's disrupted?
@radiologytutorials
@radiologytutorials Жыл бұрын
Hi Shaun. I'm not aware of a set distance. Distal radio-ulnar joint disruption occurs very rarely in isolation. Usually the combination of a subjectively widened DRUJ on frontal with angulation on lateral. Not the best answer but I hope that helps. Maybe someone reading can chip in 👍🏻

@@radiologytutorials Thank you very much Dr Michael👍 I'm a junior resident in Penang, Malaysia. One of my patient's wrist AP showed ?widened DRUJ(5mm), no other injuries/fractures. Maybe I should get an ortho consult just to be sure👍

i have fractured my ulnar, the end of it looks like a cracked egg, I have had it realigned, but I am avoiding surgery as I googled images and saw how the skin is cut open, and a plate is screwed in. I wish I never looked, but thank you for showing me what it should all look like, as my images I did not know how it was supposed to look

06:13 its not an AP view but a PA view. And you keep referring to it AP several times in your video. How can then someone trust you with rest of the stuff you present when you cant be accurate with something as basic as the projection? Or did I miss something?
@radiologytutorials
@radiologytutorials Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the constructive feedback Muhammad. Although most wrist radiographs are taken in the PA projection it is often referred to as an AP wrist radiograph. But you're right, the fact is you actually can't fully trust any medical source - even textbooks have mistakes 😱
@Muhammad-gq8fs

@@radiologytutorials hahahaha. Well, there is a difference btween almost right snd exactly right. I have indeed found mistakes in medical tedtbooks and in those instances too I point it out by writing to the author(s). (I am a doctor with two fellowships: in Surgery and in rural remote medicine).
