Good day sir. A friend of mind file the writ of mandamus last month. He did his AOS interview at federal plaza what’s your experience with federal plaza do they usually wait towards the end of the 60 days date line to make a decision or what’s your experience with them basically. Thank you.

We just filed a mandamus for I-485 interview in 26 Federal Plaza. The client got the interview right after we did the lawsuit and they made a decision within 60 days to approve his Green Card case.

He did the interview a year ago no decision thats what led him to do writ of mandamus. As busy as NYC what’s your experience do they wait till the end of the 60 days cuz it’s already 40 days passed no updates

That has happened but we have a plan and majority of the times we win. Their only solution is to delay more but that doesn’t always work for them

@dnislaw USCIS chose to respond on the very last day of the mandamus deadline. Sounds like they want to delay as much as possible. The case was refused under 221g administrative processing (IR category). The applicant is 80yrs old and requires care....USCIS doesn't take into account the needs of the applicant, and it has been 9 months since they have put the file aside. They keep saying we are conducting background screening - 9 months is an unreasonable time to complete background screening of the applicant from a non concerned country.
