Would she (and you) be interested in a series on fountain pens and art from a production point of view? I do pen and watercolours, and I love fountain pens for the drawing bit. I'd like to expand that to other forms of pen use in art, and it seems that that must already be possible with all the various nibs and whatnot. There are also ink washes, so curious about inks from that point of view as well (qualities, multi-chroma washes, etc). It seems like there are lots of new products in these areas, like ink-based watercolours.

This isn't the first time someone has talked about their preference of nib size in a Write On. I really love hearing how different people prefer different nibs to fit their writing style and whatnot. I personally tend to use mediums, though I kind of wish there was a western size somewhere between medium and fine, as when writing with a fine my handwriting gets pretty tiny, but I have to consciously adjust when writing with most mediums to make sure that I don't run my letters together too much.

Finally someone who uses a good nib! Thank you Whitney, the champion of the EF crowd! But seriously, I have not used the Conklin Duraflex to draw yet. I use a Pilot Falcon EF. Have you used a Falcon to draw, how would you say they compare?

The Falcon is one of Whitney's favorite pens to write with, definitely a good drawing option with the soft nib. In my experience the Duraflex is a bit wetter & flexible than the Falcon but both offer up good line variation. - Colin

Love the sophisticated pose -- with the dog mug! :) Your tiny, extremely neat, block letters look very much like my printing earlier in life. Unfortunately, high-speed note-taking during college pretty much ruined it. Or was it too much coffee that ruined it? Fountain Pens have caused me to return to script -- which is every bit as ugly as my current day printing. Ah, well, I have lots of ink to use so that just leaves: practice practice practice. Right? I am enjoying “meeting” the Goulet crew so much and loving these Write Now videos 😊 ... “Art-ing” with fountain pens and ink is an excellent way to decompress for me. I actually was thinking about your little monochromatic art cards that you tuck in with your packages. They also came to mind when watching Brian & Rachel unbox the Colorverse inks.... I save my cards and have a few set under the glass on my desk top.... and am wondering about who creates these little gems and about the process of using one ink to create a little masterpiece. Maybe some “vlog ammo” for a future “write now”?

Interesting idea about referencing famous works of art and artists. I saw the very cool Edgar Allan Poe ink, and it made me wonder is there a pen series (or might you do one yourselves) designed with classic authors in mind? Bronte, Tolstoy, Twain. With all the craze over the Cthulhu mythos in gaming right now, a Lovecraft themed series of pens might be a hot item.

I love feedback! Because I write Chinese characters most of the time, and you really need to have that feedback to control your writing if you want to write a good handwriting. For quick notetaking, butter smooth is fine.

If she likes the Pilot .38 which I think are junk because after you use them a little while they turn into a .05 . I write real small she should try the Uni Ball Signo .28 great ink flow and color especially the black and the blue black ink not so much on just the blue. Just a suggestion from a pen geek.

I really like Whitney's personality. She IS cute, as her coffee mug states and is animated and able to talk on different subjects at a millisecond rate. I'd love to see her and Rachel together on a video talking about the different areas of interests they might share and things they're just learning about no matter if it's business related or artistic interests. I think their interactions would be, not only a real hoot, but informative as well. Complimentary personalities just "work". I'm not sure I'm explaining this properly, but maybe you'll get the idea and I mean this with full respect for both ladies.

Yep, another good idea. Nothing against Brian because when he and Rachel co-host a video, those are some of my most favorites, too. I think Whitney is a "hidden" asset for Goulet Pens who should be brought back again. Turn Rachel and Whitney loose with a good video camera and just let them "work" it. Do not replace Brian's video catalog, just add their's to it.
