Writers Fight In Public Over Soft Hindutva In OV Vijayan| Mathrubhumi News

Palakkad: Writers Paul Zacharia and others including OV Usha and V Madhusoodanan Nair had a verbal spat in public over the spirituality in the works of OV Vijayan. The venue was the OV Vijayan birth anniversary celebrations held at Thasrak. Zacharia said that the changes in Vijayan after he wrote Gurusagaram was such that they could be exploited by the communal forces and that sparked the verbal war. The writer said he wouldn't receive any award from Narendra Modi.

Zacharia is one of the finest writers in Malayalam, no doubt about it. I have grown up reading his stories and I am huge fan of him. But I vehemently disagree with him when he says Vijayan had soft Hinduthva agenda.
