Thank you for making this video every year. You DO have a voice here. You help inspire me to go out and write what I’ve always wanted to write. One year I found one of your NaNo videos and spontaneously decided to do Camp NaNo. I wrote 125K+ words in a story I’d been dreaming about my whole life, all because you’re hard work and dedication inspired me. This year I tried something new and wrote a fanfiction rather than an original story for the first time, and I won NaNo, yet, like you, still didn’t finish the story. But what you’ve done helps me to keep writing, one word after another, no matter how long it takes to reach the end.

I absolutely love your video's! They give me the energy to write again! I'm only 14 😂 but I finished my first part of my novel a week ago with 79.000 words and now writing part 2 and today I hit the 93.000 words and i'm so happy! I kinda hold my own nanowrimo with a writing group and your videos always help us!

I don't know if you will read this Kristina but I want to thank you. I write short stories and I have a huge want to write longer stories, novel length stories. Your videos and your NaNo song really inspire me and aid me to keep focus. I have had two successful NaNo's. 2011 and 2017 and I am really happy with what I have written so once again I thank you. I send you best wishes for your future.

I am so glad you made another video! And, I wanted to thank you. Four years ago, I learned about a little thing called NaNoWriMo all thanks to your videos. And although I wanted to join, it was already mid November and I told myself there was no way. Next year. Next year would be the one! But it wasn't until this year that I finally sat my butt down and fulfilled the childhood wish. I wrote and finished a novel. And it all started with your videos! XD So, Thank you Kristina Horner, for everything. :) May your marriage be bliss, may your days be long, and may every moment be filled with laughter!

I can't believe you were able to write that much with even the thought of wedding planning looming in your mind! I took the easy way out on a lot of my wedding planning and still spent more nights than not sitting in bed crying. Don't lose faith in your vision on any of your projects. You are talented and capable and everything will work out exactly the way it will work out. Life happens. Nothing is perfect. But everything will still work out. Good luck.

First of all I've missed your videos so much. Secondly I can really relate to the bad mental health bit in the beginning of November. This was my 8th year doing NaNo and I didn't really have an idea of what I was going to write or even what I wanted to write. I got some poetry written but didn't even pass the 5k mark this year, and yet that feels okay because I know that I wasn't feeling great, I didn't really have a lot of time and also, some of the things I actually got written down were things I really needed to write for myself. I find it amazing that you pulled through and wrote so much despite feeling low and I'm yet again so inspired by your determination. Hope you're feeling better and congratulations on winning, you're a star

I got married this year and I also didn't know what a commitment it would be. It is a job. So add your real job, wedding planning, and everything else... it is tough! But I can tell you, it is totally worth it. I did the majority of my planning in this crappy year, but somehow managed to have the best day. I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to be perfect at everything, but that is unrealistic. Take your victories where you can get them. I am so glad you had a good Nanowrimo experience and good luck with your wedding! It was good to hear from you.

You've been such a huge role model to me since I was in 8th grade (I'm 21 lol) and I hope you begin to feel like you're helping others the way you've truly helped me. I really hope your wedding planning is going well, too! I am recently engaged so I haven't gotten to the overwhelming stages yet that I'm sure you've had, but as someone who is planning a wedding as well I would love to see some of your process/ideas! Understandably that might be too personal, but it would be cool to see - even just on social media! Mine is MOSTLY made up of friends, and friends of friends, and it's been around for 2 years so it's morphed and grown and shrunk and grown again over the years, but there are organizations that put on writing classes and whatnot (its different in all areas) that you could meet other writers at, or the NaNo write-ins put on by your MLs are another good place to meet writers who might want to meet regularly.

This video was really nice to watch. I agree with what some other people said- it was so cool to see the process of writing a book, all in one short video. When you do NaNoWriMo, do you ever work to publish or at least share your book? Or do you consider it a draft? I've always been very curious about that,
@Kristina7 жыл бұрын
That's a complicated question but yes, I have worked on editing past books, but nothing is ready yet. Sharing something in the not too distant future is a strong goal of mine though. I promise.
