Most metal/rock EBXs can drop A as you can see in the grid editor . The Metal EBX can go down to D# natively. You program the lowest note on the grid editor, and use the tuning and drop the semitones down. That’s the best I have for you and the only EBX that can go that low.

Great video! Thanks for that. I have a question, I'm a Logic Pro user and I'm a bit confused with what drum plugin should i purchase as they're not cheap! Option 1 is buying EZdrummer 3 and use the great Bandmate feature, hence not using the Logic Drummer. Option 2 is buying Superior Drummer 3 (Area 33 recently released as I learnt), and use the AI built-in Logic Drummer to create my drum beats and fills etc... then copy it or run the created track through Superior Drummer 3 since it has more realistic sounds than EZdrummer 3. So my comparison is basically whether Bandmate feature on ezdrummer 3 is better or not than logic drummer AI based drum beats and fills generation. other comparison is whether or not superior drummer 3 has better and more realistic/human touch sound than ezdrummer. Please advise the better combination of those. Thank you!!
@ShootieSchool Жыл бұрын
Logic Drummer is a great program. In my opinion, Bandmate will not replace logic drummer (or vise-versa). It's two totally different workflows. Bandmate will not give you Fills, fyi. Though Bandmate's abilities will expand as updates come out I assume. I would not judge SD3 vs EZD3 based on human feel/touch. If you're an advanced audio mixer, you may prefer SD3 for it's more raw tones. Otherwise, EZD3 tones are more processed out of the gate. Learn more about Bandmate here if you wish: bit.ly/3D6x0iO
@nadermedhat3647 Жыл бұрын
@@ShootieSchool Thank you so much for your reply! Given the EZD3 having more processed tones compared to SD3 as you mentioned, and that I’m not an advanced audio mixer engineer to mix raw tones from scratch, I could make use of the EZD3 tones and kits, however I’d still use Logic Drummer for creating the drum tracks and its fills etc then convert it to midi and have the processed ezd3 tones outcome. Does that makes sense? :)
@ShootieSchool Жыл бұрын
@@nadermedhat3647 Makes perfect sense and I know a few people that do that happily. As you get use to EZD3 and it's composing tools you'll eventually have a hybrid workflow. Come back and visit my channel if you make the purchase. Enjoy!

Hi Shootie, thank you for your great videos, they have been invaluable in working with Ez drummer 3 and Ez bass, your videos have really helped me to re mix all my bass and drums and have fun with Ez mix with confidence and helped to get my head around the software. Now.......my question is, what would you do, as a guide, to master tracks, what effects would you use in EZ mix to create an industry standard master...or...as close as????
@ShootieSchool Жыл бұрын
The two mastering EZmix packs have a couple presets I use regularly. And I use a few of the Vocal ones as well. It's really a subjective issue since we're all producing different sounding music. I also use the Waves L2 on my master fader often, which is pretty affordable.
@woodlandercoppice9986 Жыл бұрын
@@ShootieSchool Hi Shootie, may I ask what presets you use??? . I have not heard of Wave L2, I will check it out. You are absolutely right, mastering is subjective and its personal , but as a guide to play with, would be useful to know what presets you use....Thanks Shootie
@ShootieSchool Жыл бұрын
@@woodlandercoppice9986 From memory, look for Widener, the few that actually say Mastering, and 60's. Those are quick go-to presets for me. But I'll certainly audition more. Do trust your ears. One thing is these presets always add a lot of volume. Unless you Volume Match, sometime it's difficult to hear what they're really doing. Turning down the Input knob in EZM can help volume match so when you hit Bypass, you can better hear what the plugin is doing.
