Ha ha ha! Yes, people get a bit surprised when I tell them I'm into black metal. I've been asked whether I was wearing various t-shirts because I liked the picture rather than the band etc in shops, and did manage to frighten some "edgy" Slayer-tshirt wearing kids on the tram one day. 😀 Still, at least you didn't call me "grandma"... 😂

I use a Behringer UMC22 audio interface and then Tracktion Waveform as my DAW. Seriously, pursue working on your own music and don't worry if it's crap (in your, or anyone else's opinion). 1) you'll get better and if you record it, you'll hear your own progress; 2) it's great fun and highly enjoyable, which is the main thing. 👍🤘 Give me a shout when you do, I'd like to hear your efforts. 🙂
