My intro to chem teacher is HORRIBLE.. He reads bullet points off of the power points that the textbook maker Pearson sends with their books. He gives no examples or explanations, just reads off bunches of numbers and words.. I have absolutely NO chemistry background from high school so his class is extremely difficult for me. Thanks so so so much for making this so simple and fun. Do you wish to be a chemistry teacher?

I am having trouble balancing this chemical equation: Ca(OH)sub2+HClOsub3--> Ca(ClOsub3)sub2+Hsub2O. Please help! What if you end up with more than one fractions?!

what u have to do is treat (ClOsub 3) as an unknown single element named X. Then balance Ca, O and H in the equation before reverting ur X to (ClOsub 3). good luck.
