Throwing out the rules and daring to play with a different way of journaling. Thank you for this-and-for your personal examples too. Great reminders that it's my journal and I can make entries in it any way I want!

Thank you, Mary Anne! Today I even wrote on my phone (which I have now put away from my bedside at night) because I forgot to bring my notebook up at the end of the day - so.... flexibility and consistency combined... its the best way for me to keep up my practices and not beat myself up!

What a great idea to write to one's higher self and ask him/her to light the way. Loved this, including tapping into one's semi-conscious state on waking and writing as you role over or out of bed. Thank you for sharing and especially with such a beautiful environment around you!

I began writing after doing The Artist's Way too. I love this flexible roll-over and write idea. I've done something similar where I keep a notebook on my nightstand to jot down dreams when I wake up before I forget them. It's so therapeutic to write. It's been lifesaving for me. I believe everyone would benefit if they practiced writing/journaling. Thanks for the inspiration and sharing, Julie! 💗

Love the idea of writing experiments. I often advocate for the experimental approach, and yet I've not been applying that to writing recently. Thanks for the reminder and prompt.

Loved this! I have been rolling over and writing for years--but just dreams, nothing more. If I try to get up and write them down, the dreams will evaporate. So now you inspire me to write a bit more before I rise.

Do you write before you go to sleep? That has been such a part of it for me, too. Jotting a few lines... and this morning when I rolled over and wrote, I started with "no dreams and....." all this great stuff poured out of me. Very energizing.

Thank you! I was hiking at Jockey Hollow, a National Historic Park - and thought "Why not record here?"

I love that idea of writing to my higher self at night, then rolling over to write first thing in the morning. And I also love Jockey Hollow! Thanks for the inspiration x

I loved being out there. I was there to tree hug, too. My 300th consecutive days of tree hugging.
