As someone who penpals a lot, I can 100% tell you that letters with effort are SO much more appreciated and exciting to receive than letters with a bunch of washi tape and stickers on them to replace creativity and effort. This video did bring a tear to my eye. I am quiet old and I loved writing letters to my friends, I put in so much effort. Now I do it for fun sometimes, but I breaks my heart how most youngsters don't know the joy of writing a beautiful letter. I loved your video, it made me remember my old pen pal who liked making such beautiful letters. He passed away many years ago, but he will always be in my heart. Yeahhhh, it can be really difficult if you want to do something elaborate. The only people I send mail to are my friends, so we're not actual penpals lol. Takes a lot of the pressure off when you're just sending stuff randomly rather than waiting for a reply!

I promise the only thing you need to be able to write a good letter is something you sincerely want to say to someone else! All of the drawing and stuff is great, but it's also not necessary- the letter is the most important part. Collaging from magazines/newspapers is also another really great way to decorate letters inexpensively without drawing if you want to dress them up!

Okay like... risking to sound absolutely absurd and cliché I’ll say that it’s like fate put you in my recommendations, just a 12 minute video inspired me to put more effort in the small things I do cuz these past years I’ve been so unmotivated and unproductive even tho I used to be a very creative and imaginative person and I used to put so much effort in my paintings and crafts and do everything so extra like these beautiful letters you created. Now I’ve become introverted and asocial, laying around all day being useless , not managing to keep up with my studies... definitely disappointing yes. Being creative is absolutely not something that always comes easy and when it doesn't, it can be so incredibly demotivating and disheartening. Believe me, there are so many times when I feel that way as well- it's normal. No matter what it is you put effort into- even if it is small trivial things or not what you feel you are supposed to put it into- if it can bring you some joy or fulfillment, it's worth it. So happy to hear that this could bring even the tiniest spark of that to you- hope you chase that spark wherever it leads you in the future~
