In this video lesson we discuss how to to write the standard equation of a hyperbola when given different information. The first example we are just given the vertices and the foci. The second example we are just given the vertices and the point the hyperbola passes through. And the third example we are given the vertices and the equations of the asymptotes.

Is it possible whole reason a hyperbola exists is because of a jacketed imaginary value?
