Explanation: 3/4 x 12 = 9....3/4(12)=9, convert whole # to fraction 3/4(12/1)=9, 4 goes into 4 one time, 4 goes into 12 three times...end up with 3/1(3/1)...multiply across. 3x3=9 :) Difficult to write fractions in this format.

Very precisely spoken as well as written. Thank you for making it about the math and not about you. Our students need to hear the correct language while they focus attention on the task at hand and this video does exactly that.

The title of the video should be: how to talk like a god damn robot. This is why it is so hard to learn math. Teachers just don't give two shits and they talk like computers.

Thank you very much for your lessons. I'm attending adult high school and we basically have to learn all that in 9 weeks... And my dear teacher says after questions:" come on guys, we've done this exercise twice already, we have to move on..." it's so depressing because we have a very short time to learn. when will we learn this before university or college, if the place that should be taught, just pushs you as if you were not valuable as ta eenager? thanks for expanding our horizon!

First, set it up like this: 12 = 5g Second, to get rid of the '5' in '5g', divide both numbers by five. 12/5 = 5g/5 5/5 =1, and 1*g is still g. So rewrite it as: 12/5 = g From here, you can get your final answer: g= 12/5 or g= 2 2/5

3 minutes of something I've already learned! Where's the correct vid I'm looking for to find slope on tables? To complete tables? And to find rate of change in a word problem or not? Is this info even accessible these days?

slope = rise/run. you could graph the two points and physically count) how many spaces you need to go up (rise) and how many places you need to go over (run) to get to the other point. then you just take the slope and draw more points on the line until you hit the y axis. also, you could use the equation slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1), which will give you the slop, then break it up and solve for "b" like the lady has done in this video. this avoids the graph.
