I think your "Ask me almost anything" videos are very useful and you are still teaching a lot by answering the questions. And please make a book with your lessons, I have read a ton of them and I still believe that your way of structuring the topics and the practical examples that you give are the most valuable. In the meantime I can appreciate going back to the lessons and listening to them again until I learn 👍

@@writingforscreens Can you let us know in advance when the next one is? I live in Europe, so it would be easier to plan ahead if I need to stay up late etc to catch you. Thanks!

Had to wait to watch this until the craptions loaded. (I'm deaf and AI craptions are unbelievably bad). Counter argument for AI- it takes a lake's worth of water just to render a horrible AI photo that has 6 fingers and makes no sense. People are refusing to understand how bad our climate issues are-- the last thing we need to be doing when we are literally burning is to waste water on junk that does not need to be created. Also, my problem with AI- it is trained on the writing of other people. For it to spit out a MASH script, it has to have all the MASH episodes loaded in to shuffle them and then "create" a new one-- it's not creating a new one. It's shuffling the episodes it already has. Aside from obvious problems with creativity and it creating nonsense from these scripts, the biggest problem is that every one of those episodes were written by humans. And those humans do NOT get any money for their scripts to be used to "train" the Ai-- and then it shuffles all of those scripts-- plot from this writer, joke from that writer, etc. So no one is getting credit for their work being used to rip off to "create" new products. It's the same with art-- for it to "create" art is to download lots of different individual artists, and to use the base of all their beautiful artwork to mush them together into "new" "work"-- but those artists do not get a single penny for their work, or recognition for their work. And I have a HUGE problem with ALL of that.

Yes - I was really only talking about the aesthetic and professional issues regarding AI for screenwriters. I have a huge problem with all of it, too. (also: sorry about the captioning...)

@ no worries, I know it would be difficult for you to go In and create captions for a live video. Appreciate the thought :)
