I think the answer is 10.5 From condition Ist(P01=10) i.e P1=1000 and P0=100 ( base year is taken as 100) From condition 2nd (Q10=0.5) i.e Q1=200 and Q0= 100 (as Q0 is taken as 100 ) Substituting the values ... If u r not sure then dont distract...in question no.48 correct answer is 20.we have to find value index but here base years are interchanged for price and quantity.then ist we find quantity index w.r.t same base year by applying factor reversal test which comes out to be 2 and then on multiplying with price index we find 20 as answer and for ur kind information we dont take root in case of value index.
