For me personally, Yung Lean, Bladee, and the rest of the sbe/gtb crew were my biggest inspirations to actually get into fashion. Polo sport, Y-3, Cav empt, Acronym, Final Home, Raf Simmons. They just wore it so effortlessly and made it look cool. Another lesser known Australian rapper by the name of Tag Shai was an early influence for me. He rocked Bape, Off-White, Palace, Supreme, and Y-3 in a cooler way than most other hype beasts at the time did. Overall though, Yung Lean wearing the J36-GT in the Motorola MV put me on a now decade long love for Acronym and other technical garments.

great vid brody as always!! 1 thing i wanna say about the yachty bit, it kills me that he was saying nyc has no influence on style the other day. that pic u showed from Early 2022, he literally looks like someone from NYc. in early 2020 Carhartt Vest, Jackets, and Ski mask got really really popular in NyC. Timberlands have always been something synonymous with New York. If anything he brought baggy back MAYBE, but other that that he’s dresses like someone from nyc. from the vintage rugby polos to the timbs

@@namespaced4437 imo that hate is justified, because asap mob blackballed sgp from the industry even after rocky learned how to produce, rap and even dress from him. you have a carson pfp, you should know that even carti was an sgp fan at one point, but asap bari made him turn cuz of his resentment of being beated up. man, bari even stole raider klan hieroglyphics for his brand, another thing that wouldnt exist if it wasnt for purrp. sgp will always be an influence for the underground community, he also influenced sigilkore and has put lotta people from the scene in the spotlight, which many of them betrayed him, and this started with the asap mob. is understandable why he still hates them till this day, as his legacy and influence are undeniable.

this was a great video I got mad nostalgia when you highlighted the early to late 2010's of fashion as that was the era I grew up with and obsessed with at the time. Now that I'm in my twenties, I can say that the early playboi carti outfits was and still is a big source of my fits which is quite mad how they're considered "standard " and "basic" because, that style is great to me because its the type of streetwear I liked from the very beginning when streetwear wasn't "trying too hard" if that makes sense? it felt effortlessly cool and natural compared to know where people just put on branded clothes just because and you can tell they're literally wearing it for the clout hence why I loved Curtis early outfits as it felt more "put on" and authentic.

@praphulkamabathula43844 ай бұрын
Good video, but I think Carti has ALWAYS been a style icon since he first gained popularity in 2017. His cover for Self Titled has the Vivienne Westwood shirt and then from Die Lit he really was pushing the boundaries of streetwear with RAF Simmons and other designers. The Opium style is just another iteration of Carti’s already long history in the fashion sphere

please do a video about replicas. if you could talk about the ethical aspects, production costs of both the authentic items versus the replicas, quality differences and if it's in the end of the day a better choice to give the money to a replica manufacturer or to Balenciaga (or to some other big house), since many of their products are seemingly manufactured in a very unethical place. would it be better to give the money rather to already underpaid workers or to a already big company which asks thousands of times the money to purchase than what they pay to manufacture. idealy it isn't a good choise to pay for somebody stealing designs or ideas (replicas), but usually the authentic ones ain't even the originals

8.58 is an image of Tyler and some guy in a camo jacket. That camo jacket is called Grey Lizard (sometimes Cuban Grey Lizard) and is from a line of Lizard camouflages produced (possibly in Yugoslavia, but also Korea) for the Cuban military during their deployment to Angola in the 1970s. Now it is extremely collectable and expensive.
