WRX Got A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT + HELP +

Had it. Changed the battery. Took my flex plugs out and cleaned them with contact clearer and topped it with dielectric grease. Fixed for me. Results may vary.

I had this code for about a month or two kept clearing the code then coming back had to buy a new flex fuel sensor

Same problem. I leave them on auto. When it does it I just flip it to off and back to auto and they start right up. LED will scatter the light out of the projector. Staring at the car it will look brighter but when it scatters it’s actually more dim when driving. Hid for lows and led for brights and fog

Clear the code, reflash the ECU with your same tune. If it is still there. Check all connections, ensure no wires are cut. Check the TGV Harness. The sensors is a standard Continental flex fuel sensor. They arnt expensive. Get the part number from Cobb.

Had this issue when I first went flex fuel. It was the battery. Replaced and never came back. Ymmv but start there.

I had this code a while ago. It happened when it was wet outside. The flex fuel sensor on mine went bad. Monitor Sns TGV Volt LEFT on the AP and log some datalogs. Send them to Cobb and they should send you a new one free of charge... I think that value on the AP needs to read less than .12V. You probably won't have to purchase a new flex fuel kit. Cobb told me themselves, "Our products are supposed to last a very long time, this has been a common issue."

Had that code too, did all the tips Cobb recommends (cleaning the sensor, reinstalling the "brain").. Long and short, the brain of the kit (the wire harness) had failed and a new one was sent out to replace it. About 1,000 miles since then, no issues whatsoever.

To add to this, when mine went out the car had some WEIRD things happen.. When I would start it, it would backfire like crazy and basically was choking out. Replacing the harness took care of everything.. Good luck man! Contact Cobb support if you bought it from an authorized dealer.

If you want to keep the blue headlights you could do the same thing you did with your fog lights

Dont use ethenol from that station. Go to another and test the content. E80+ or bust. Or ask tuner/shop to swap sensor

I was going to say with gas issues you’ll usually see things like a decrease in DAM and also could have knock readings. At least when I filled my car up with bad gas once i didn’t get any codes but instead my DAM dropped and had small knock readings. Drained gas and replaced and the problem was resolved within 30 min of driving

Buy an oem GM sensor, read on the forums its the same exact sensor.
