I seem to remember that someone a few months ago mentioned the Rock Island's 40' box cars with DF2 lettering and what specific service they were used for. Might it have been you? If so, please repeat for the slow folks. Thanks.

Paul Backenstose Not slow, just not filing ALL the finite details. I had referred to the 40’ Milwaukee Road DF2’s...they were specifically used for Whirlpool service. The DF stood for Damage Free (equipped with a load restraining device). I hope that helps!
