Ya but thats completely different from a keyboard issue and the whole point of this video wad to talk about the keyboard not a screen issue or all the other infinite issues with apple and their macbook. Apple is literally so trash after steve jobs died that all the other companoes have either caught up to or surpassed apple in every way other than the UI which may i point out, was basically made.by steve jobs (it might have been changed over the years but the main base of it is still the same). I honestly hate apple now and i think a lot of pple agree with me other than the rich spoiled kids who cant do anything other than waste their money on phones $1000+. Also anyone else loyal to apple literally have notches for their hairline and only obsess over apple which is their only life. Im sorry, but the only reason apple was successful was because of the mastermind himself steve jobs who is no longer alive meaning apple should also no longer be alive. U literally need to pay for everything external like hesdphones, dongles, and so much more.

Meanwhile I will rely on a Pixelbook for everyday carry. The Pixelbook is just as thin but has the very best keyboard I have ever used on a laptop. Very nice keyboard, unless you like to eat while typing. I usually have lunch in front of my computer, breadcrumbs and even small food particles can get stuck beneath the keys, even my own hair. Right now I'm having troubles with the W key, it's a bit stuck, not completely yet. But I don't really see that as the main issue. Main issue is that it's hard to clean, you can easily break the key notches if you try to detach the key in order to clean it. I had the Macbook Pro 2015, I used to detach most of the keys once in a while when they got dirty, it was straightforward. I've broken a couple of butterfly keys while trying to clean them up.

Quick story: when I saw a bread crumb on the keyboard of my 2017 MBP, I was like, “ NOPE, NOT HAPPENING TODAY.” Then I swiped it off with my finger. Now I have a keyboard cover.

Using my 2014 MacBook Pro and I want to upgrade but I refuse to buy one of the current models because of the keyboard... Absolutely no reason a 1300+ laptop should have problems with TYPING. If Apple doesn’t fix it soon I might have to get a windows.

Those Retina MBP's are worth gold right now on the used market... People want a machine with ports and are snapping them up. Just keep the OS up to date and you'll be good for years.

Just get a Windows based laptop. Can always install a MacOS virtual machine and with current Intel processors it runs buttery smooth. Or just plain use Windows 10, it's actually a pretty nice experience.

im still holding on to my 2015 mbp. Had it serviced in singapore. New battery, new speakers and card slot. Good as new. As for new CPUs with all that throttling, the gains are minimal at best. Check out lenovo carbon x1's on the hackintosh sites. Great keyboard, mil spec drop & spill resistant. Also lighter and will work for 20 years no sweat. Oh yeh & has ports.

Laptops are prone to keyboard issues and always have been. My current 2015 dell, after about 1 or 2 years use, had significant issues registering some key presses. After being unable to fully fix the issue by unclipping keys and cleaning things out, I ordered a replacement keyboard, for not much money. I easily switched the keyboards over, and it has worked perfectly ever since. Simple swap in replacement keyboards is something you can't do on mac books and this is why, when there are issues, they can be product destroying.

I actually LOVE the butterfly keyboard. I've had no issues whatsoever with mine. It feels amazing to type on it. Where do y'all work with your laptops to have debris going under the keyboard? It's designed to work on a desk people, a clean one lol. I just can't believe they got rid of this amazing keyboard design. I'm keeping my 2018 MBP just for that.
