What a wonderful couple!!! I know that things don't always go this easy for foster/adopting families, but it's great when it works. These three--& the animal family member (who is a super cute dog)--all seem great! Very happy for them & wish them the best. Also...please don't forget to adopt homeless animals too; an adopted child & an adopted animal make for a complete family.

@@eagle1de227 That's you. And that's the problem with social media. Just because you would want to be heard (or you and the OP in this case) you guys can go on social media and put the parents on Blast and then get a small number of people to rally behind your individual opinion. Sometimes the individual opinion gaines traction and then cancel culture comes into play and it just spirals out of control. These people are the parents, they get to make the choice. Our opinions don't really matter.

As long as I can remember (2 years old), I always knew I'd want to be a mom some day. I grew up in an conservative household and was told I'd someday have to be pregnant if I wanted a "real" child and somehow knew that was wrong from such a young age. The idea of being pregnant/giving birth was always terrifying to me anyway. I knew since the age of 8 that I'd be adopting any children I had and I have no idea where I learned about adoption from, because nobody in my life has ever adopted or even thought to do it... but I was just a highly empathetic child who was scared of ever giving birth and realized there were children in even worse conditions than my own horrible conditions that I could maybe help someday. I'm 31 now and I'm still not where I want to be, but I hope that by the time I'm 40 I'm able to adopt... I want to so badly.

How is it wrong to become pregnant?
@Hell0kitty.420Ай бұрын
@@eagle1de227it’s not that wasn’t her point but the way she felt shamed and forced all growing up she couldn’t have a real child unless giving birth herself. That isn’t true and a very offensive statement. Children u adopt or foster can also be like your children just ones u never see again or get to see forever even if u didn’t birth them yourself. Having a child is about the love between parents and a child. Not all parents who give birth should be parents which is why adoption is great and no one should grow up feeling shamed by the opinions of their parents when asking inoccent questions

@@eagle1de227It’s not wrong for others, but it’s always felt wrong for it to happen to my body. I just knew for me that I was scared of the idea of being pregnant or giving birth. And, while I didn’t mention that I can’t have children, I did find that out when I was 25. Perhaps, in a way, my extreme fear of pregnancy/childbirth and desire to someday adopt was the universe preparing me, because the news that I can’t conceive naturally has brought me so much peace. Can’t wait to adopt someday!! ❤

@dodgem25928 күн бұрын
Do not adopt because others keep telling you too, like this couple are doing. Adoption is not for everyone. The problem with adoption is that there a huge majority of children in the adoption system who are considered very challenging. There are children who have been abused both mentally and physically, there are children with acute medical problems, there are children with disability issues and all these children can present problems for potential adoption parents because they do not know how to handle such children and even with help from the adoption care system many potential adoption parents quickly realise they are out of their depth. My sister and her husband adopted two baby boys, both are in their early 20's now. They were given a choice of the age of the child they wanted to adopt and my sister felt taking in a teenager would be a struggle for her and her husband. Taking in the boys when they were babies has worked out very well for them but it does not always work. Also, one thing these news articles do not point out and it is a very important thing that should be pointed out so potential adaptive parents know is that ALL of the immediate family will be checked out by the the adoptive care system because they need to make sure the children will come into any situation that could potential harm then, physically or mentally. Grandparents, Aunt's, Uncles, Cousins, best friends, potential work colleagues, work boss, basically anyone that has the potential to be in regular contact with the child/children due to parties and get togethers all have to be checked out and if the people doing the checking find a problem with ANYONE of them, they can call the adoption off. This is something you never see in these type of videos.

I don't want to go into politics but...isn't this better than abortion? Adoption is much more humane and can be a solution to a lot of unwanted pregnancies. Not to mention that there are so many families that want to adopt but can't because they get rejected. On the other hand, conservatives have to stop stigmatizing sex in general and especially people who, for whatever reason, can't care for their children and decide to give them for adoption. They are preaching against abortion and for being "pro life" and, at the same time, they stigmatize women who have unwanted pregnancies or can't cope with caring for their children as sluts or whores or "irresponsible". They want to have their cake and eat it too. That is wrong and doesn't help.
