Joe began with a voice steeped in loneliness and sorrow, setting a poignant mood that captured my heart and led me on a journey of melody and emotion. He painted vivid scenes of a lonesome figure trying to ease the pain of missing his beloved on a breezy autumn night, seeking solace in wine, but ultimately in vain. Starting softly, Joe's voice soared emotively as he blended seamlessly with the band, intensifying the heart-wrenching experience as the music grew stronger. Each note conveyed deep, poignant feelings, beautifully expressed through Joe's impeccable Mandarin intonation and lyrical clarity, resonating with the audience. A superb and touching rendition, full of class!

'Drunk Acacia' refers to the character in the song and he is drunk from wine made from the acacia fruit. The rest of the song follows this pattern: instead of the man that's drunk, the acacia is drunk 'lovesick wine' instead of the man being lovesick, it's the wine that is so; 'Pteces of lovesickness'' refers to the maple leaves though the man is the lovesick victim Thus, everything becomes lovesick just like the lovesick man. To the drunk anf lovesick man, everything is also drunk or lovesick like him. This confusion shows the intense drunkenness of the man. This song is about the transience of love as in the lines 'Love in this world comes and goes quickly/Who can prevent love from drifting with the tide?' 'Who can relieve this lovesickness?' suggests that relief or escapism is possible by drinking alcohol. I'm a teetotaller; so I can only empathise with this drunk, lovesick man in the song to a sertain extent.
