Mark Chesnutt breezed through the air waves with " Too Cold At Home " and I knew he was the real deal ! He was country when country ( was ) cool !!! .

I love this guys voice. Wish he had stayed around longer with more hits. I think he's a better singer than Alan Jackson, Paisley , and Brooks and Dunn ..

Great interview!! I’ve lived 30 miles from Nashville my entire life and it’s funny how people get such a vision of what it’s like. It’s a dirty nasty city just like any other place. Unless your on broadway and see the few famous country bars, or around the opry, there is NOTHING country about Nashville lol.

I guess no job, no matter how great it is, never ends up being quite like you dreamed it would be. I'm 46 and I have worked in every job field that I use to dream of as a kid. Corrections Officer, EMT, Soldier. None of it was quite what I thought it would be. The politics, bureaucrat red tape, and legal requirements really take the fun out of a lot of things. Anyway, I was a teenager in the early 90's and Beaumont was the place to be for fun. I haven't been back in a while, but I heard its nothing like it was. It's sad.

Mark is a modern day “Possum”! He can sing anything and OWN IT !!!! Talkin about the ignorance in Nashville, one of these days they’ll be looking for someone to revive their socialist watered down “rap shit”and he’ll tell em to go suck a hind tit! Him and the two Tracy’s are the best of Texas STILL! Nobody knows music like these guys do. You can include Clay Walker in with the rest of em. Mark oughta write a song about “Who’s gonna fill them HATS”!!!! One of my favorite nights ever was watching him at the old “JITTERBUGS” nightclub in Nacodoches, Tx. back in ‘98. Nothin but the best!!! And I’ve never seen anyone have as much fun as everyone else in the crowd. It was a riot back then.

Why is mark not telling the truth? I still remember the name of his first band and how he got his start

The big money recording guys killed the last of the good country music. Now it's just a popularity contest. If ain't real good looking and willing to kiss ass and sell out your core values when asked.. You just can't make it.
