WSR MIXED TRAFFIC AT BLUE ANCHOR AND WATCHET 18 SEPTEMBER 2021

Hoping to see lots of dog walkers along the way raising money for charity and a mixture of steam and diesel drawn trains. We meet several friends along the way who watch admiralscorner!

Wow. Busy day!!! I love dogs. Always wanted one. My favourite dog is a German Shepherd. Ied love one. My mums neighbour has one. She’s gorgeous….. We got 2 cats. My mum has 2 cats…. I filmed a doggy walk at Ashton court 5 years ago. There was loads of dogs there. Big crowds of people too there. What a shame not many seemed to turn out at Blue Anchor. I like the birds fly past! Your like me. You keep busy every weekend…. It’s good. There’s been a lot going on in our area too. We went to this NHS Flags installation on Weston beach by the former sea life centre that is now called Revo. On Saturday night. The Torch light 💡 parade left Weston Hospital, at 6pm. They paraded along the seafront…. To the flags on the beach. The flags are made of hospital bed sheets. The Event was in aid of all those that lost their lives to COVID. They held a massive candle vigil in the shape of a cross. It was a very moving event. I will be hoping to upload it 4 all to see tomorrow.

Your 'local' videos are fascinating, even if the beach by Filipino or Australian standards is a shocker. Love that 'Manor' class loco: the GWR locomotives sure are magnificent. Interesting to see a longer train with a rear diesel despite this being, IIRC, before English COVID-19 restrictions were relaxed - hence the poor patronage.

Surely, Minehead Station ought to have opened up by now. And what happened to Odney Manor's 3,500 gallon tender?

Her old tender rusted out, so they are currently building a new one at Minehead. Meanwhile she is running with a 4,000 gallon tender that happend to be lying around.

I went on the train from dunster to bl on Tuesday the guy in the booking office said it would be finished by end of October but wouldn't be used for public trains until next year as all drivers would need to be trained and signed off etc so march time at least
