I can't recall ever seeing Slakik and Karina so emotional after a performance. Slavik normally so composed and emotionally controlled is so close to tears. So much gratitude, grace, humility and appreciation being shown from them both. It just adds to the energy and emotion of the whole experience. Also perhaps other than Brian Watson and Carmen's Farewell dance at Blackpool I cant remember this level of outpouring of love and adulation from an audience ever for any other couple anywhere. This is very special. They are very special.

This routine is eternal. This music is eternal. The couple is eternal. In fact, I think their Kiev 2015 performance is even better than this. Every year they perform it. It is the greatest, deepest, most beautiful rumba ever.

Elle. Cuando te beso by Raoul De Blasio. This is the instrumental version they use.. The original version has words to it and is by Juan Louis Guerra. Also beautiful. Juan has done a compilation album of his romantic songs. Its called colleccion Romantica. If you like this I recommend you have a listen. This song is on this album

Elle. You're welcome. I'm glad you love this performance too. The purists will tell you this is not Rumba and to some degree they're right. Its a fusion of contemporary dance with elements of Rhumba in it. But I don't care what it is. For me its one of the most divine dance pieces I've ever seen. And I have danced on and off for some 40 years. For me this is everything that partner dancing should be. I send you kind regards.
