TopGunAthlete this is the AFRICAN AMERICAN form of cheer leading called "stomp and shake". My team cheers like this but at competition we pull elite stunts like all stars squads. We are two time region champs got 17th place out 33 different teams at state. Oh yea there is no real cheer. There are different forms. And the video is old but next time look up other forms of cheer. It great you're An allstar but that not the only form of cheer. But i do agree they could have a higher degree of stunting but keep in mind the other forms of cheer. But my fave allstar squad is the California allstars

Your squad wouldn't even be good if you couldn't tumble. You guys CAN'T DANCE, and all your chants sounds alike. Not to mention Precision.Thats why you stunt to hide the fact you arent REAL cheerleaders..cause real cheerleaders cheer the crowd on for their teams.Just watch, Top Gun will be copying this style soon..they always do. Black styles are better anyway so get ready to learn to shake!!

GO RAMS! My cheerleaders are the BEST HBCU's dont get that much recognition period, but we know this but still try and try until justice is served the reason i went to a HBCU is for the culture (cheer, band, etc) WSSU ALUMNI '05 GO RAMS!

@jasiebabee: You may already know this...The "stomp and Shake" is a common Historically Black College style of cheer leading, which is especially popular in the south. We draw from our West African heritage, which involves stomping, shaking, and the like. Unfortunately, this style is frowned upon by those who cannot identify with our culture and heritage. So you definitely see the influence of stepping in this type of cheering.

I have to disagree...nca and uca cheerleaders very much still can lead on their school and crowd and stand on the sidelines just as much as these ladies do. that's why that comes first but they also compete...i don't see whats wrong with that? If you can lead on your school and still compete their is no problem...cause i know we do...but also make it as a top competitor for nationals. but anyways these girls are so sharp, crisp and entertaining to watch...amazing job!

Grunting and squealing isn't cheering. It's sometimes really hard to understand what their saying. This is why so many people consider cheerleading not a sport. You can still be loud and have cute cheers with less shaking. Some people consider it vulgar...
