Can’t believe it’s taken me two years to watch this! Ash Barty is singlehandedly the most well-spoken sportsperson I have come across. Her post match interviews are a true testament of a woman exuding nothing but class. She thanks her parents for instilling this in her at an early age, but I thank her for maintaining it to this day!

Ash really comes close to being my favourite player! In the past it was Henin, then it was and still is Angie Kerber, but there’s something about Ash Barty that’s just so likeable. Lovely young woman, in and out of the court. Great all around game. I see her giving Naomi a run for her money in the next decade. My 5 wta players to watch going forward are Naomi, Barty, Sabalenka, Bencic and Andreescu. Can't wait to see how the future unfolds.

I think we all underestimate how tough it is, socially and therefore psychologically, to be on tour, especially at such a young age like when she started. In an ideal world they’d have a parent or sibling with them on tour, but at the beginning of their career that’s not possible unless the family is very wealthy

Gostaria de pedir à WTA, que permitam transmissões dos jogos femininos para o Brasil. Esse esporte aqui está em mãos de clubes de alto nível onde as atletas praticam como passa tempo. Um dia que esse esporte chegar as mãos dos menos favorecidos, vamos chegar a termos boas jogadoras. Tenho minha quadra de tênis em minha casa, porém sem condições financeiras para abrir as portas gratuitamente, pois o saibro está caro ,a luz custa 1/3 do meu salário, redes, bolas etc. Até tinha um canhão porém queimou a placa mãe e falta dinheiro para concertar. Como aposentado tenho disponibilidade. Quem sabe um dia possa sonhar com minha quadra cheia de meninos e meninas . As história de todas nos fortalece, qdo compartilhamos de onde vinheta.

You know that's a little racist, considering other races have people with great eye-hand coordination. Seems to me, two more great Australian tennis players had wonderful eye-hand coordination, Margret Court and Rod Laver both did very well for themselves. In fact they both still hold records in tennis. To attribute attributes to race is a slippery slope when those attributes are negative. So you see it's best that you not. And have you ever thought the eye-hand coordination might come from some other part of her heritage?

I didn't know who she was until she won RG....She seem like a humble young lady and has a good varieties in her game....I remind me of Martina Hingis. I think she can be #1 by US Open.

ET, she does talk about it in her bio on 'her story', she also praises Yvonne Goolagong there, she loves being indigenous. Guess she has been overwhelmed by sudden fame
