Anisimova looked like she was going to burst into tears midway through the final set. Credit to her coach for some great encouragement and to her for fighting. Good to see Bouchard in better form too, but Amanda deserved this one.

Needless to say these ladies are in much higher class than most of us hecklers. The demand is growing for more advanced levels each year. The games are so much more because of the unexpected display of newly acquired skills being shown. Tennis is a beautiful sport and it still grows and shows more phenominal abilities than before.

Point to point match. Both played well. Bouchard looks so beautiful and well groomed with matching colors and both the coaches explained their players and this gave them a bit more motivation and of course the players hard work and Anisimova finally won.

I love the phase of player's career where Anisimova currently is. It's fun to follow progress year to year if they're likable. Its fun when you can see their hard work and experience pay off later. Or, she could disappear forever in two months; you just never know.

how old is Anisimova? like 17 or something like that? she hits the cleanest ball on tour, or one of the cleanest. i have a feeling she'll cut down the errors and improve her movement as her legs get stronger and she gets older. she's my pick for future world #1. give her 5 years

Bouchard is a better mover than Anisimova but she couldn't seem to find her balance on simple shots. She seemed to have jerky movements or falling on one side when her opponent on the other side is just making it look easy. Bouchard should probably work on her balance?

Go anisimova🤩
@mublikbublik79114 жыл бұрын
Bouchard technique and movements are not organic whatsoever. Jerky movements, awkward footing, anti-graceful follow-throughs. Hard to watch, bad to mimic. Watch Anisimova, young players. Watch and learn her fluidity, natural ability to move, prepare, and hit properly.
@karelpilar49224 жыл бұрын
True as that may be, Eugenie Bouchard is still very talented. Some tennis players are herky jerky -- it makes them tuff to play.

Poor Bouchard, now ranked in the 300s and cannot get into even the qualifying tournaments of WTA events, stuck playing in ITF Transition tournaments that do not award WTA points unless you win the entire tournament and you get 1-10 WTA ranking points depending on size of the tournament! The few she played, she was out the 1st round! Bouchard did better in WTA 125K when she got WC entries into main draw. Got to 3rd round in some! To bad Bouchard seems to have ran out of WC entries now!
