The ranking system means nothing in CS2. I'm an ex-collegiate player, level 8 on FaceIt and was Supreme in GO. My friend is level 5 on FaceIt, and I consistently carry him and my friends in Premier. He is 18k and I float around 15k post rank update (was 18.8k pre update), even though I consistently perform better. It makes no sense. I lose 350-600 elo every match me lose, and I gain 100 per win. It even confuses Leetify.

me and some friends played some comp recently and it got so bad that we finally started to do the math. One team that we were paired against, our ENTIRE teams MMR/Score was LESS THAN the top two players combined. Putting their MMR/Score into a rank calc had them at Master Guardians. ALL of us are Solver elites or Nova 1's. We just never have fun on this game anymore. We all have jobs dude, we don't want to have to compete with these dank, dark room, smelling-like-cheese losers. We get on to have fun, they get on and are head glitching the latest spot and full util every single round with 300 adr. Let him fight the people he deserves to fight Valve, he was 12,000 "score" and I have 4. Why on GODS green Earth would we ever be put into the same lobby?

You do understand that Premiere has only 3 ranks right? under 15k, 15-25k, and 25k+ - everything in these brackets is effectively the same rank. With an exception maybe for under 5k, but that doesn't count as a rank anyway.

@@izimonics2 it’s more so around 100,000 concurrent players with around 1 million unique players every day in NA and players on the game change per day, most people don’t play every single day or play more than one or two matches in a day. After around an hour of play in CS 100,000 people have logged off and a unique 100,000 new (new as in first time logging in that day) players have logged on. You seem to take the number at face value as if everyone is logged onto the game at every moment, but this isn’t the case, people log off frequently and people are logging on frequently. While only 100,000 in NA sounds bad the actual pool of NA players is upwards of 10-20 million, it’s just constantly changing. And my ques at 21k ELO which is top 1% are usually less than a minute when I get home at around 6pm. And I rarely see the same faces. I’ll admit that I constantly see either higher ranked (25-27ks) qued down with me or me getting qued down to 17-19k lobbies, this is obviously due to the vast majority of the player base being at around 10-15k. And I’m not defending the state this game is in, it’s shit but people like me still play the slop because there’s no alternative.

Every valve game is the same, - there is a ranking system, that is just numbers and doesn't represent shit. I stopped playing CS after the lunch of 2, and I started Dota. Every ranked game of Dota feels like the players in the lobby are from 10 different ranks. There is always 1 guy who is surfing his ass off, a couple of guys who look like they touch a mouse for the first time, some brainless people, and some that are trying and have good and bad decisions. BUT we are all the same rank according to the game
