WTF Happened To Dauntless | Dauntless Gameplay

I'm someone who stopped playing not long after reforging game out. I wasn't a fan of reforging at all. But literally a few days ago I decided to try the game again. No real reason. My main games are between patches and I'm off work for awhile. At first, I was grateful for the game treating me like im new because i genuinely don't remember a lot of the game's core mechanics, but as soon as i started to remember the things I liked about Dauntless, that's when i realized those things were now gone. I hate that most weapons are gone, and especially that only certain types have certain elements. Basically, you're forced to play almost every type of weapon if you want to use a weapon with a specific element type. This sucks because I only really like strikers and pike. They'll probably add more over time, but that's getting into the P2W aspect which is just a hot mess. I also hate that cells can't be unslotted as easily. It takes the fun out of buildmaking because now you can't switch them in and out without destroying them. All that does it make me not want to socket any cells at all. In the end, I think they made a lot of questionable decisions that I hope they're able to walk back on, otherwise I don't see this game lasting much longer.

This, this right here is exactly it. I really hope they realize before it's no longer fixable. I had a lot of fun with the game. And I would hate to see that gone. It might not be that bad for people who are new to the game. But, for returning players it's very clear.

I log thinking I’m abouta go one shot monsters again with my axe,but not I got hoed seeing all my levels and reforges are gone along with my beautiful axes,swords and guns. This what happens with let epic cook 🤦

Yeah it was really sad to see they were just mogs. They cooked up a turd at this point.

Yeah it's very sad. And unfortunately I think it's going to be a long term problem! Part of the reason I go back and enjoy so many classic games.

honestly this update sucks ass. i uninstalled the game few days after the update came out and didn't even bother playing 🤣they took out the fun (reforging) and did terrible trying to copy monster hunter

It sucks as it was quite an enjoyable experience. But yeah logging in and seeing that the weapons I worked hard for were just mods now was like WTF lol. I hope they fix it! But, it may already be to late.
