It’s no stretch to say that popular music as we know it now would be very different were it not for Paul McCartney. So, we’re pretty sure many of you reading and watching this will say, WTF Happened to Paul McCartney? Nothing - he’s still awesome. And indeed he is, with him even recently rocking up a storm with the Foo Fighters on-stage for their recent tribute to Taylor Hawkins. Despite pushing eighty, McCartney is still a force. Still, here at JoBlo Originals, in addition to being movie fans, we’re also music fans, so just like when we wrote about Clint Eastwood, forgive us our indulgence as we dig into the career of one of the greatest musicians of all time.
In this episode of WTF Happened to this Celebrity, which is written (with Brad Hamerly), narrated, edited and produced by Taylor James Johnson, we examine the scope of his career. Of course, we spend plenty of time on The Beatles, but we also dig into his awesome seventies group, Wings, as well as his solo work, which included some massive hit collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and more. And did you know Paul McCartney also made a movie? Well, the great Paul might prefer if we left Give My Regards to Broad Street out, but there you go. We also explore the great man’s resurgence, including work with the now-crazy Kanye West, the reformed Nirvana (with McCartney standing in for the late Kurt Cobain) and more.
What’s your favourite McCartney era? Let us know in the comments!

A better question is: "WTF Happened to William Campbell Shepherd?" The latter, as the lead singer of a Beatles cover band (Billy and the Pepperpots, who released the MERSEYBEATS album) mysteriously fell off the map of the world on Sep. 11, 1966. Strangely, there is no news or gravestone to indicate what became of him. Seems like some British journalist could investigate that if they're not too afraid of MI5/MI6 (keepers of one of life's biggest cover-ups --- right up there with the JFK single bullet theory, the 9/11 collapse of Building 7, and G.W. Bush's Iraq's supposed weapons of mass destruction.)

A very easy-to-see detail most of fans cannot see is the colour of the eyes. You just can't change the colour of people's eyes. Paul had BROWN eyes and Billy, the imposter, has GREEN eyes. So, there shouldn't be any debate in this case! There is no worse blind than the one who doesn't want to see.

@kennytrcka.. I'm on the fence as to whether I believe the real original Paul is still with us or whether he was replaced by someone but I will say this..... Regarding your comment I've known a number of people in my life you have so-called hazel eyes they can look blue gray blue gray green and even brown. I'll give you an example of a famous person, who eyes CHANGED COLORS dramatically at times! He was a musician, a leader of a famous rock 'n roll band, and a tremendous songwriter, who passed away a little over 6 years ago. I'm referring to the the great Tom Petty, of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers! I think that he must have had hazel eyes, which are known for changing color, but blue is most likely what is listed on his birth certificate. He most often appeared to have incredibly beautiful blue💙 eyes, but when he would wear green, his eyes were as!green 💚 as can be! I & many long time fans have studied tens of thousands of photos of this dear man. His eyes eyes changed COLORS, when h e wore certain shades of clothing! His eyes also look gray at times, and other times a gray blue, and I've even seen them look 🤎brown, and a 🤎💚 brownish green! So That's very possibly why you're seeing a different eye color in certain current photos of Sir Paul, no matter who he may, or may not be! 🙌

In the 1967 Beatle's film Magical Mystery Tour Paul (Billy) says "I am 30 years old" which means he was born in 1937 while the real Paul McCartney was born in 1942. This year Billy will be 87 years old, if Paul lived he would be 82 years old. This is proof that Paul died and was replaced by William Shepherd in 1966.

And when James gets older is the spitting image of Paul's brother Michael. An actual doppelganger of Mike now. 😅😅😅😊😊😂😂 If you answer because they took the sperm of a young man in his early 20s, which they would have taken in the 60s, a decade before the boom of this practice in the 70s (1700s, but frozen sperm only since the 50s) and then waited 11 years to inseminate it just proves to me how weak and thin these theories actually are. How McCartney constantly gets called Billy or William by people close to him, How Harrison talked in a past sense about paul just like Lennon...implying that he is no longer with us.....you left out all the evidence given throughout decades now. Heather Mills had great insight into people. She was judged very harshly as a gold digger. She went on a talk show, maybe George W. Bush's nephew's show. Heather said that someone had hurt her very badly, and she didn't mean by infidelity. She also was referring to something but would not say what it actually was -- as she implied she was not allowed to. She said: "People could never ever handle the truth. It would be too devastating." Perhaps she was right -- at least for the majority of people. What she was referring to, I don't actually know. I can only guess or imagine.

@@handle-schmandle I did not want to speak for Heather Mills. But since reading your comment -- I won't be "suggestive." I can't say for sure what she was thinking. I never met her. I don't see how anyone can't see that there were two different Pauls. Two different men. Something happened to the first Paul McCartney, and he was replaced. One day you will know the truth. Maybe. Why can't people like you have an open mind. You think you are being loyal, standing up for your Paul. While the first one is probably in a grave somewhere. The first one before 1967 was replaced. You can love the second Paul -- but please don't pretend it's the same Paul that was in the Beatles before 1967 because it isn't. Instead of being so angry -- why can't you investigate and tell people like me why we are wrong for believing the first one died. How about watching the podcast: Was Paul McCartney "Replaced" By a "Double" in 1966? by Stephen - Truth Seeker. It is 1:45:30 in length, but you don't have to watch it all in one sitting, in which Stephen has a talk with Tina Foster (not about the clues on album covers and songs), but about the physical differences between the two Pauls. Tina didn't know that Paul had been replaced, but when she was directed to websites, she kept an open mind and studied different videos and photos of Paul before she came to her conclusion that Paul was replaced. Stop hating and start investigating. Why are people like Tina and me wrong in our conclusion? You can still love the second Paul -- he was still a Beatle -- he is just not the same guy who was Paul before 1967.

People can be easily fooled unless they examine their celebrity singers and actors with a fine tooth comb mentally speaking . I ran into Pete Best he was the original drummer when the Beatles first started out in the bars of Liverpool in 1961 before Ringo..He said the whole thing was a publicity rumor was made up by a DJ named "Russ Gibb" he said the picture of the smashed-up car on the Sun magazine that was owned by a 21-year-old girl British socialite that died..She was a friend of Paul's-"Tara Browne" He said most of the time Paul drives a Mini Cooper Black He said when he went back to Liverpool later on when he heard the news about Paul McCartney's his father said He never died and we never buried our own son..Paul's Mother passed he said in 1956 if we were burying our son I would be standing next to him at church and at a cemetery.. I'm sure there would be thousands of pictures of that then "James" Paul's father just said show me "one picture"..Pete said where are you going to find somebody that looks like Paul sings like Paul plays the bass guitar like Paul and moves like Paul..Pete said I even talked to his wife Linda and she laughed hilariously saying that I can't believe people are still believing that story..Linda said I know my own husband we have kids together..Pete has his own band I ran into him in Pennsylvania they were playing at a bar, I had a friend of mine take about 4" pictures of us together his hair is kind of long and gray his nose is kind of red.. I believe that's a sign of somebody that likes to drink or maybe the lighting over the Bar but still a really nice guy..He said that I was never bitter that I was fired by Epstein and replaced by Ringo he said him and Ringo were really close friends.. I moved on I have my own band I'm doing my own thing..That was 2004 the last time I saw him in Sellersville Pennsylvania..He said Paul had a party at his house in London people like the Rolling Stones were there and that was January 1967 Paul did get in an accident with his Mini Cooper but nothing serious the same night as Tara Browne was killed he believes that the American DJ was confused when he made that story up and then it spread like wildfire..
