Bob fell off before he played with the Panthers, if you look back at him in Columbus he was actually pretty insane and was the soul reason Columbus made the playoffs (Teams that relied souly on their goalie like Columbus, Florida, Boston, Rangers, Dallas will usually have a bad run in the playoffs when they realize they have to play to win a series) Florida is using Bob as a scape goat way to much and the Oilers Offense capitalize on goalies that are demoralized and beaten down it's how Mcdavid and his team win games. The 8-1 win as much as people like to "down play" it was a key to making bob realize hes a human.

Bobrovsky is like fire and ice and has been especially since he signed in Florida as a free agent, it wasn’t so long ago (2 years ago) that he was practically unplayable making 10 million bucks. His resurgence the last couple seasons didn’t come out of nowhere however as he earned that deal with elite play for multiple years as a part of the mediocre Columbus Blue Jackets so its a a hit or miss and right now he may be in his head too much. (Speaking as a goalie myself)

Whats likely making bob fail is the lack of shots against him. Edm has a good amount of shots but its not enough high danger shots for bob to be at his best. Too many shots is bad but not enough can be worse

Several teams have come back from 3-0 series deficits in lower rounds, but it’s only ever happened once in the cup final. So if the Oilers win on Monday it will be the second.

The highlights do nothing compared to watching it as its happening, it will also allow you to see the setup plays and flow of the game 1000x times better. Notice that it's only the losing side that complains about the officiating. Bob has been killed by video. Oilers are shooting high blocker side every chance they can. Great results .. Plus a couple of those in close deke moves no one on earth would save. He still makes you earn them. The reverse in 1942 was the Leafs over the Red Wings .. Born in Toronto makes me a Maple Leafs fan but want to see McDavid lift the cup. Never liked the Panthers but they are dirty players. Highly recommend making your first game a Battle of Alberta game. Either in the Saddledome or the Barn. Flames vs Oilers have the strongest rivalry in the entire NHL. Oilers are goated right now but Calgary does manage to pull some crazy games even with our pitiful roster. When you saw that McDavid highlight where they were playing outside with weird jersey colors and mustard pants, that was a (retro jersey) Battle of Alberta game that was also outside as part of an NHL advertising program (happened in Red Deer, city right in the middle of Calgary and Edmonton). Calgary is finally bringing a lot of fresh blood on their roster as well, and we may pick Tij Iginla this year, who is supposed to be absolutely unreal like his dad Jarome Iginla

For me, the best part of the BOA is the friendly rivalry between the two fanbases. I was able to go to a game a few years ago (the one where Kassian and Tkachuk finally dropped the gloves) and the playful banter between two fanbases who are very passionate about their teams was just awesome. If you guys are able to get Tij Iginla in the draft, that would be a really cool story I gotta admit.
