Yeah the title for this podcast is totally WRONG,....Marc is talking to BEAU. I thought his voice didn't sound right,...and was confused.

First i noticed the talent of JEFF BRIDGES in TEXASVILLE, after that one, i was on the search, i wanted to see every movie where he and BEAU contributed. Still didn't see all of them (it's quite a task). And i like his music too.

The Bridges brothers seem to have everything today’s Hollywood’s royalty seems to lack... humility, grace and class. They both show such passion, joy and love for what they do and everyone around them. They remind me of the stars of yesterday. They have mystique .

One of my favorite's of Jeff's is "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot"...I am at 1:14:00 and no mention of it yet! Oh please please give the background on that one. I was very young but it had a real affect on me. And one of the simple jokes ever was in that film: " Hey kid, why don't you go fuck a duck". Being young I got a kick out of that one. And I have used it ever since.

Jeff Bridges starts at 58 minutes. Marc talks to his brother, Beau, first. The title is misleading.

I’m sorry but , what is going on with this picture of Jeff ? Is it terrible dandruff or a light dusting of snow ?
@barblessable10 ай бұрын
Both brothers and their dad are fine actors loved Lloyd in Sea Hunt when I was young Jeff was so good in True Grit ,Big Lebowski ,Fat City etc Beau was good but seemed to do more tv movies, they are both unassuming, informative and honest about acting , Jeff on tripping was funny .

SO WHAT'S THE DEAL,...THIS ISN'T JEFF?.........according to other commenters, this isn't Jeff. Jeff isn't talking until time marker:58:15 ----Why Marc? Why not have photos of both brothers?

Ahh,..therapy,.....I can speak about that for hours. I was in talk therapy for more than 40 years. It cost me a fucking bundle,....luckily I was poor and was awarded a huge discount. Even with my discount, it still cost a lot. I began going in college,....diagnosed at the time as being "Morbidly Depressed",.......knowing that made me feel worse, and even more depressed. Now in 2023,....talk therapy is just about dead, now its all about medicating you into a form of brain death. I liked talk therapy,......I hated drug therapy, I feel it just about killed me. What's weird I grew up in an intact family, and a mother and father who stayed married, neither had any bad habits, and both worked. I have an older sister. I think the worst thing was my dad was a workaholic,.....I never saw him and we did nothing together, he was always at work and never at home with our mom and me and my sister. He never shared anything with me, or gave me any good advice. Once in a while when I was able to piss him off, and he paid attention to me for about minute, and yelled at me. So I learned I had to find ways to piss him off, so he would interact with me. Sick and sad. He was a gentle man,....never hit me, and never belittled me when he was angry with me. I wish he had informed me about being a man,....teach me some basic things about life. NOPE,..I saw him for about 10 minutes each day.

Mark, sometimes you and your guests mention someone by first name perhaps, but don't say who you're talking about, which is what you did at 48 minutes here. Beau is talking about going back to Broadway and he mentions George, who no one has anything unkind to say about, George Who?
@realseanzi5 жыл бұрын
george hu, owner of the obscure theatre in the outskirts of burrough 8 of new york city. he directed the musical "i'm a real guy" and its one-man prequel follow up "george hu is a real guy, a friend even" he was often a guest on morning sedition, but he didnt get on the mic, just listened in the background. i thought it was obvious it was george hu, given the context. the man produced francis ford copolla, david lynch, and martin scorcese. he was the first person to be voted mayor of new york person non grata for petes sake
