Bought my fully loaded XLT in January with 4 miles on it, and have put about 2k miles a month on it, and im in love. This truck can hit the ground running and is such a joy to just open up and drive down the highway. The adaptive cruise control and stay in lane features are amazing, I live in a more rural area and the lane sensors do pretty well at holding the lane even with faded lines. If your hesitant at all, dont be. Great daily and family.

I would avoid the Sport appearance package as your basically paying a bunch of money to dull the overall look of an otherwise nice looking SUV and little of substance. Instead I would want the 202A package which does include useful items like upgraded seats, remote start, dual power seats and a heated wheel!

Cool video nice review. The computer adjust to your driving style like other vehicles. If you like quick throttle response in city, it will adjust to that

What are your thoughts on the intelligent 4wd option? Is it worth it? Not so much for offroading, but an occasional park and slippery or icey weather.

Back in the day they used to put V8s in these. Now they use the Mustangs 2.3 ecoboost engine.🤔 I've heard these have their share of problems. Awesome video as always!!
@WTFCRLT1
@WTFCRLT1 Жыл бұрын
The v8’s were really cool but this ecoboost makes 60 more hp and 30 more lb-ft and over 3 seconds quicker to 60 while being way better on gas lol I wouldn’t mind seeing the 5.0 in the new Explorer tho🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks for the comment!! 👍🏼

@@WTFCRLT1actually the 4 valve 4.6 V8 in the 2010 ford explorer made 315 ft lbs of torque and 292 horsepower. So it was the better option and still is.

The real question is is the rubber timing belt wet during normal operation like it is the the 3 cylinder engine?

I have a friend who has one as a company car. He’s had several explorers, traverses and he says this 23 model has a good bit of umph, with the 4cylinder . My neighbor has. 2023, St, and has changed some stuff and says they told him it now has 500 hp ! I’ve ridden in them a they have a lot of room and the front seats are close to the Flex seats.

Nice job. Not sure I agree with the city 2.3 comment as if you put in eco mode you get a lighter pedal and still has boost when you need it. I would also say premium gas makes a bigger difference especially when your on highway 80mph roll on acceleration. It does tend to fall flat when your that fast on lower octane gas. Anybody that has one go get a steeda tower strut brace and the handling is much more responsive. At for port richey ford NEVER buy from them. They wanted a 10k market adjustment for the timberline explorer I bought. Lol. Went to flammer ford down the street and paid zero MA.

Just bought my 2023 Explorer XLT over the weekend. Ironically, I bought it in the Tampa area. No, not Ford of Port Richey. Sorry. Some called me crazy, but I traded a 2021 Charger R/T for my new XLT. Honestly, I had just outgrown the poor fuel economy and high insurance. When I called my insurance agent from the Ford dealership and gave her the vin number for the XLT, she said that my insurance rate would drop over $200.00 with the Explorer. The rest, as they say, is history. The Explorer is in my driveway. As of this post, I have literally had it less than 24 hours. A few months from now, I'll add an update.😛
