First of all, a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who watched the first video last week of Jim's Collection (Part I), and a special thank you to those of you who wrote Jim a comment or message. He appreciates it immensely, and is still in awe at how many like minded collectors there are who have viewed his collection - 6000 in one week!
Meet my neighbor, Jim. He is a man just like me, only he was born 60 years earlier and lived a life full of experiences not many are still around to tell about, let alone with a mind just as sharp as it was when he entered the Second World War in 1945 as a young man. Jim and I live across the street from one another, and have for many years. In all this time and through our friendship it has been one of my greatest desires to film him with his immense collection of vintage diecast toys, most of which he collected decades ago and lovingly displays in his basement, just as I do. Jim is a wonderful man, with a heart bigger then an elephants, and full of memories and stories that could fill thousands of pages in a fine print book. Jim is 91 years old, lives on his own, has outlived the only two women he has ever loved in his life, and drives his Buick daily to visit his many close children. If you like this video, please, leave a personal message for Jim, as I will be sharing them with him, although presently he is not very familiar with the internet, let alone KZbin. He does look forward to the messages that I have told him he will receive from around the world from my many, wonderful, like-minded viewers, so let's make that come true! Thank you all.
O-Dawg

I would like to thank Jim for his service in the war and for showing his collection to the public. Most people don't want the public to know they have collections that are worth big amounts of money, but I think Jim is very proud of his collection as he should be! The world would be a better place if the World War II generation was still around! I'm a collector of RC cars and diecast! Loved the collection, but enjoyed his stories more than the diecast! God bless you too Jim to live a long and carefree life! Not only do you deserve it, but you made it possible for the rest of us! THANK YOU VERY MUCH JIM!!!!!

My parents had a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang model. I need to acquire one for myself as theirs is long gone. Those old metal/tin toys are fantastic to have in his collection! That's pretty neat that he got to drive a real truck with eight axles. Awesome ambulances!

+Luigitime27 Yep, that's how it is with a lot of diecast collectors. No matter how many collectors are out there, not a single person has the same things another has. And everyone has no end of knowledge about particular subjects, brands, or cars and wont hesitate to share all of that informaton with you.

But really appreciate the gentleman showing you his treasure, I think this pieces give us longevity, it’s like something that cheers us up, my collection is very tiny, but I find like peace on it and excitement when buying new pieces. The hole in the bottom of the cadillac ambulance was for a battery holder which would power the flashing red lights on each corner, and the roof top light. I know this as my dear aunt Vi bought this for me Christmas early 1960s. Great collection Jim, God bless... 😋

Great collection Jim. It is amazing to see so many great pieces together The red Thunderbird car next to the Corgi Batmobile was actually from the Tv Show Las Vegas and not Elvis. They did an Elvis car but it had a pink color. The Red Thunderbird has a missing antenna that was located on the back and was the same that was used by the Batmobile. Also the White car, Volvo P1800 that had the Saint on the hood was from Corgi as well.

i had a Hot Wheels set for Christmas in 1969 with a motel, garage . the cars would come down the track and through the archway/ tunnel of the garage , where they would be met by 2 foam rubber wheels which would give them extra speed and send them round the loops . Hot Wheels came over here in around 1968/70 to compete with Lesney /Matchbox Superfast , and Corgi Rockets .

Great Video! Sam's car is from the Jerry Anderson TV show Joe 90. There were two cars in the show - Sam's Car and Mac's car. Sam's was a futuristic passenger car. Mac's car is the more famous as it flew! I had a plastic one of the former, not dinky, but I wish I still had it.
