So the hero building was obviously quite new, so it needs more balancing Changes I put in so far after this video: 1) Attack cooldown caps at 1.0, not 0.4. 2) Fixed initial Agility not giving armor 3) Pickaxe item was removed outright, may re-add its bonus damage effect to a new item, but the stun >95% health felt broken 4) Bash had its proc chance lowered, stun duration lowered, but damage increased 5) Fixed the bug with unlearning spells, it related to learning an active, then a passive spell and trying to unlearn the passive spell. 6) Changed the stat picking a bit to make it more user friendly, displaying your current amount of the chosen stat and making you confirm before you move on to the next thing, whether that be picking traits, hero type, etc. I'll add more hero models, obviously. Keep in mind that they are just models. The cast backswing, projectile speeds, everything - they're the same for all the models. Purely aesthetic. If there's a particular unit model from WC3 you want to see added in, let me know. I may eventually add a huge list and let you pick with text commands, but I don't want to overwhelm the player with hundreds different hero model options to look through ingame. Wtii requested an alternative to Battle Royale in the form of having players eliminate eachother in duels. I realized I can't just reuse the PvP system for that as surely you'd want 2 players to have a go at it at a time so you can watch. I'll get on that, of coruse. Another thing Wtii requested and that I'm open to is adding item upgrades, and having each item start at a 2000 gold cost, being able to upgrade it for 2k twice. That way you get to pick whatever item you think you need, and upgrade it to improve its stats and effect, and maybe even add small extra effects. It will involve making 3 versions of each item and a dummy item you buy to get the actual item (dummy item is a powerup, that does nothing, so you can upgrade an item with a full inventory) I'd work more and test the map more thoroughly if I had the time, but I'm more busy lately than I used to be. With Easter I'll have some time to get that elimination duels option in there and sort out the fundamentals and test them properly so that the version played in the weekend plays alright.

I can't wait for this map to be done. Already, it has such a unique feel for yet another hero survival map. I absolutely LOVE how you are able to set your stats to your liking, even down to the range of your character, in the start of this map. Well done, Nick, this is turning into quite the masterpiece of a custom map. I look forward to its finished state and hope that you'll make it available for Reforged when the time comes.

With that dmg and attack speed at least you could micro at creeps . Change target before the unit is dead , it already has 10-20 arrows fired at him.

ikr. Reminds me of the other custom hero survival where the max level thunder clap stuns for a total of 10 seconds for a relatively low mana cost & cooldown time. The cooldown is even lower than the stun duration so it's easy to re-stun them for as long as you have mana.

Suggestion to Nick, since you made hero building so detailed I think it's a good idea to remove most randomness from this gamemode, make heroes deal flat amount of dmg instead of random 3-6, what's more abilities like Bash, instead of procking with 30% chance make it trigger every 3rd or 4th attack. It would be quite a lot of work to change each skill like this but I think it would be a good change. More competitive, greater control over character

I have a rule for myself to stay away from changing the fundamentals of how abilities work, so Bash will keep working the same way, only I'll balance the chance, damage, stun duration etc. The slight damage range for heroes isn't really something to write home about, and people sort of dislike if the 2 numbers are the same. It'll trigger some people.

The other custom hero survival isn't really that bad. If you've got the right spells & items, you could survive any level. If you want to know: > Any average-Joe hero with decent initial health & mana pools. > Choose pillage & fan of knives till half levels (unless you're too greedy to resist maxing out the pillage first). [Fan of knives + pillage is my all time favorite since it's an insane damage output for large groups of enemies + the GAWLD] > Choose thunder clap & bash till half levels. (Them stuns are nutty) > By this time, amass enough gold to buy the cheesy shield of 50 armor + other armor. Just armor. Ankhs if needed. > Choose slow aura & pulverize & toxic bile till half levels and max out thunder clap (For that JUICY 10 second stun & low mana usage). > Max out pillage & fan of knives. (For the GAWLD) > Max out pulverize & toxic bile & bash. (For them pesky stun locks) > Max out slow aura. (Even though it suggests a 100% slow, it doesn't entirely stop enemies but it's till very useful for getting the advantage over BS creeps) Just activate the shield just before the creeps spawn for 50 extra armor, kite them together if they are ranged, and omega-stun lock them as punishment for all of Nick's bullshit stun-lock gang-bang creeps of ANG we had to endure in every match of CHS. ;D Don't worry about losing the PvP battles. Even though over half of these are only great early game & mostly just for creeps, it'll bring you far in a long game setting. The other players may have learned what your spells are and wouldn't expect much of a complete redo of your spell set. So farm up them books, unlearn them useless spells (excluding the 10 second stun thunder clap of course ;) ) and buy better spells to your heart's content. Now you have a OP stun of 10 seconds for any poor soul including other players' heroes and those pesky OP creeps that does over 15k damage of fast attack speed that has 10% or so bash. That is to say if other players can survive the creeps long enough to fight you in the final battle royal. ;D Enjoy the ANG :D

A protest: Strength is by far the worst of the worst attribute on Fluffy as it is. It's 2.5 worse than melee's, while intelligence is better. And even tho agi is quite nerfed compared to melee, it's almost always a good attribute, at least on late game. Survivability is pretty much useless, there's no place for tanky str heroes.

can you try Impossible siege 12.3 (kinda upgraded x hero siege ) with the gang. I suggest trying heroes in single player first and get the 2500 gold item that gives resources on hit (25% chance) then getting the 100k shield that gives like an ankh www.epicwar.com/maps/292502/
