It's 35 and above years old and only for buying an HDB (government) flat. Buying a flat or house in the private property market, you just need tobe at least 21 years old.
The ex-journalist commenting guest is always spouting nonsense regarding Singapore. In many programs, when Singapore is being mentioned, she would always intervened with her totally wrong ideas and facts - only show off her utter ignorance and auntie-like stupidity! Trust me, every time! She claimed her cousin is a Singaporean and she get such wrong information? I begin to doubt her claim and what she said is outrightly ridiculous most of the time!

Can you please point out some of the things she said were incorrect so we all have the correct information now.

U can purchase private property if u are below age 35. If couples apply for HDB new flats yet to be build(goverment housing) which usually takes about 5-6 years in during this period u need to register for your marraige will do. It is not 30 days as said. And there are no rules that u can't scold your child in public which normally seldom people will do and not because of the law.

@@jasonlam534 thanks for the information. Yeah it feels weird that she’s from China and talked for Singapore because her relo is in SG haha
This show has credibility issue! I know for a fact that the stuff mentioned regarding Singapore are totally inaccurate and even totally nonsensical and not true! For instance, the prohibition to buy property before marriage applies only to subsidized public housing and not property in general! That China girl was uttering total nonsense regarding fine for misbehaving parents in public! Shocked regarding such poor and low quality of content!

I have to agree with you, I am Singaporean myself and I am sure I have never heard of this rule before, plus scolding their children in public is definitely not a crime. It's definitely false information indeed.
I really do not understand ... why do WTO not get a Singaporean to talk about the laws in Singapore instead of getting a mainland Chinese to talk about Singapore laws ? There's no laws against scolding a child in public BUT there's law against someone behaving badly in public while drunk , causing disturbance to others. And, by singing or reciting loudly songs with obscene lyrics. By having someone who is not well versed or know much about Singapore laws to talk about it is giving a wrong impression and information to others. As a public channel, WTO should be aware about this.

Perhaps, the mainland Chinese is too scared to talk about mainland China.

I am so glad TCS does not buy this program to broadcast in free TV - such crappy nonsense! Please continue this prohibition - from time to time, I have always spotted gross inaccuracies in this program for many countries! Just a bunch of people who are myopic and talking nonsense just to get paid 1350 TWD!

If you don't have a Singaporean available for this episode, maybe just don't talk about our laws? So many inaccuracies about the things they shared regarding SG when they barely know much.
