BIG was poppin at the time and on Cuban Links there's even a skit where Rae and Ghost talk about dudes stealing album covers. It was a reference to Ready to Die's album cover. Illmattic had a picture of Nas as a kid and they said Biggie copied it.

I watched this episode the other day and I had no idea it was nas until this came up on my KZbin😂😂you could easily mistake the dude playing fat joe for a young vinnie paz😂i still loved the episode though and just the overall structure of the show because I never expected it to be as creative as it is,with the odb and rae episodes they could of easily went the lazy route of just showing the making of the albums and the usual stuff that biopics do but wu tang aint nuthin to fuck with! Probably the best episode. Their character resemblance. The only one that I didn't catch was Esco aka Nas. And that's because they said his name. When Frank said it's always an up-and-coming person waiting to take the spot, I thought it was Jay-Z lol He was the only one that was close. But I was happy af that they acknowledged Big L because even though he wasn't commercially successful he his name was buzzing in New York during this period.
