Comic Comparisons : This episode has a lot of parallels to the comic Let’s go down the list. Denise does die in the comics but not in this way Rather It’s Abraham (Denise dies a few arcs later) While escorting Eugene to a place where he believes he can manufacture bullets Abraham is shot randomly with an arrow by Dwight he was mid sentence just like Denise talking about how he is fine with Rosita and Eugene being in a potential relationship He just wants her to be happy Robert Kirkman (creator/writer of The Walking Dead comics) always said in retrospect he was unhappy with the way Abraham went out which is most likely why it didn’t go down that way in the show. The dick bite It happens but not on the train tracks The whole expedition with Rosita Daryl (who doesn’t exist in the comics) and Denise doesn’t happen Instead after killing Abraham Dwight drags Eugene and Abraham’s body to the gates of Alexandria and threatens to kill Eugene if they don’t let them in ( they know the same amount about Negan in the show as they do in the comics at this point) Eugene bites Dwight’s dick to cause confusion and allow the rest to drive them away. Abraham’s relationship after the dramatic split with Rosita is rather with a woman named Holly rather than Sasha who doesn’t exist in the comics Abraham was actually cheating on Rosita with Holly and Rosita found out Confronting Abraham with it yielded the same result as in the show I thought you were the last woman on earth You’re not. Spencer and Rosita’s relationship doesn’t happen in the comics rather it’s Spencer and Andrea (who is still alive at this point in the comics) though it wasn’t much of a relationship The most they had was dinner and an almost kiss before Andrea and Rick got together (parallel to Rick and Michonne)

Wulf! I don't know if you read comments or not, but the story about that little shoe does have quite a tragic story if you didn't catch onto it. Basically, during the very early start of the outbreak, the mom and her kid were holding up in that store, but he was a very young baby, and his constant crying kept attracting walkers, which is why the window had a ridiculous amount of handprints on it. it got to the point where it quite literally drove her to complete insanity, she killed her son to quiet the noise, and eventually died herself in that room.

Well Denise did, in the end get her "point" across. She has an eye for these things. What a mind blowing plot twist... Okay I'll stop. In my opinion though, I do dislike that they killed Denise here when she was starting to get some character development. The execution of it all was good, but I kind of wish it had been someone else, this is more of a preferential thing than a criticism as this episode was really well done. There is a character in the comics who gets this very same death, which I'll omit whom incase you decide to read them for yourself, which I highly recommend. I'd also say buy the compendiums since there are four of them and they're basically megabooks of the entire series and I think it'll be easier on the ole wallet if you buy them instead of each individual comic.

Denise had the same type of WTF, surprise shot to the face death like Axel. Whew, didn't see that coming. Dwight again. Yikes...you made a great point about the word getting around. And the KNOW about Alexandria! Ironic that in Season 4, Carol killed Karen & David without hesitation. Rick banished her from the group for it. Now she is terrified of what this world has made her, and chooses to leave. Rick would not hesitate to kill at all! I wonder what caused her change of heart. I was gonna say Lizzie, but she was still killing at Terminus and killed the Wolves with ease. Any thoughts?

👍👍 I personally think it was when she shot Owen the Wolf and realized she misjudged the situation that finally pushed her to start questioning everything she had done or had to do up to that point, it did not help losing Mrs. Nuedermeyer after their conversation on cigarettes killing her, which is why she started smoking I think, 😏🙂👍
