Unlike most rap nowadays...spouting designers names over and over and over and over again and calling that music? Please. Wu-Tang and the others from this time made GOLD out of thin air...at least they had true talent, unlike today's Auto-Tune sycophants.
@conster46660lol2 жыл бұрын
@@wolflover968 I mean, drugs, money, designer names and violence all fall into the same category that most rappers rap about, 80s 90s or even today. True innovation is talking about none of that and still making a good tune, but the truth is, it's not really possible since the listener tends to come back more often if they can relate

Once you start getting into the individual artists from the group, and the shit they released on the side, (usually in collaboration with another Wu Tang artist- most of the time) you will feel guilty for not knowing the artistic genius that is The Wu Tang Clan. I just got into them a year ago and have not stopped finding material that I love. RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, Raekwon, and the Method Man, MAN! Every songs is a feeling man, thats why we listen to music, because music create emotions. It's not only lyrics and melody, it's a vibe, a frequency ... You can have the best lyrics in the world but if theres no energy and harmony in it most people wont like it. Music must be a reflection of you and your emotional state, it must come from your heart. You know im french and sometimes i dont understand everything US rappers says, but i know when its real and when its not ... When i hear Numb or savage mode from 21savage i can feel his pain, his anger, his sadness and his frustration to have been a poor ghetto kid, to have made the wrong decision, to have become a gangster, to have lost many friends, almost lost his life and to be addicted to pain killers. Same when i hear Pain from tupac, codeine crazy from future, my life from Lil wayne and game or lord give me a sign from DMX. Then when i hear songs like streets is watching, Black gangster, people's court, i shot ya or jigga my nigga from JAYZ i know he really lived that life, i know he was a real drug dealer/gangster ... The lyrics, the energy, the tons, the flow .. It's really like he's telling you his story. Same with Drake when i hear songs like Marvin's room, aston martin music or find your love i know he talk about a real girl and in songs like im on one, pound cake or over i know he meant everything he said .. Drake is 100%invested in his music, he is so confident he literaly spoke things into existence in im on one he said " And what's up with these new niggas ? And why they think it all comes so easy .. But get it while you here boy, cause all the hype dont feel the same next year boy, Yeahh, and i'll be right here in my spot, with a little more cash than i already got, trippin off you cause you had your shot, with my skin tanned and my hair long and my fan who been so patient, me and forty back to work but we still smell like a vacation, hate the rumors hate your bullshit hate these fucking allegations, im just feeling like the throne is for the taking .. Watch me take it !" ... And like he said in pound cake "you know it's real when you are who you think you are" 💯💯💯

well this is wrong on many accounts BECAUSE they mastered it on one cassette... LITERALLY ONE CASSETTE. so any "cleanliness" you hear is the result of digital manipulation and enhancement. the ACTUAL album is very hard to hear and NOTHING like this video (admittedly HD). like i have to crank my stereo 2x at least just to have normal levels when i play 36 cham.... it is SUPPOSED to sound dirty and rough so... idk what you mean home skillet

I’m here in Nov 2024…This song right here! Help me when I was a teenager going through it. I had a great child hood, but life changed. Sometimes your choices are narrowed to what you have to choose. I made my best choice to my ability. We struggled and I had to keep the heart and mind of a soldier. As my mom and bro’s who said, “ keep the faith”, “The Most High got us. “ Even though, I would get mad sometimes, I turned that negative into a positive and I graduated high school and went on to college. I had learned to adapt and it taught me how to survive. For a young lady at the time I didn’t complain abt what I had or lost to my mother or my bro’s… I made do. We had love and unity, laughter in our despair. The Most High always blessed us with our portion for the day…by his grace I’m eternally thankful🙏♥️🎤

It's absolutely insane that this was off their debut album, along with so many other bangers. Unknown 23/24 year old kids basically, exploded onto the scene with what has become considered one of the all time greatest hip hop albums of all time. And the fact that there were 10 of them and not a single one of them were considered bad or holding the rest back. All of them total geniuses in their own right. There will never be another group like them. Truly one of a kind.

Im a super introvert person and i remember when I was 15 yeras old and went to see a Wu Tang concert all by muself because my friends couldn’t join me. I remember being super tired from the trip and i didnt know anyone in the crowd seeing as this concert was very far from where I lived at the time. As I said im super introvert and so while i was waiting for wu tang with the crowd i didnt speak to nearly anyone if not necessary and i wouldnt join the hype at all. The tables turned when the Wu Tang came out to perform. I was super excited to see them and after like 4 minutes when they started to perform this song, ”C.R.E.A.M”, I remember how my mental state changed in the blink of an eye. I was standing in front of the crowd leaning over the fence screaming out every lyric of every song including CREAM. Not alot of people in the crowd knew the lyrics to some songs and I remember GZA noticing that I knew it so well and nodded his head towards me for a second. This moment reminds me of the greatness of the wu tang. I had heard 36 Chambers over and over and knew it by heart by the time I went to see the Wu Tang, and seeing them live made me realize how great the Wu Tang is. It brought out a person in me that I had yet to know. Ya best protect ya neck.
