Powerfully compelling novel that lays bare the flaws of humanity. Emily must have loved the Yorkshire moors her descriptions are so detailed. A total original just like the author. Excellent narration. Thank you

Thank you very much for this upload of the whole book. I come back to this novel every few years, ( probably once in a decade ), and like many others I get something different out of it. Now as I am so much older than when I first read it, I am much more struck by what we now call domestic violence and the inherent racism of the time. I struggle to find any kind of positive moral to the story, because I am older. The only good, for it's poor inhabitants that I can glean, is that it's survivors may live on beyond the class system. But this is not to say that I now dislike the book. Not at all; it remains ever enthralling. Thanks again. I shall see how I feel in another few years.
I first read this book when I was twelve years old, I was captivated then and the fascination has never left me. Emily Bronte’s complicated, powerful tale of obsessive love, tragedy and revenge has, in my opinion, never been equalled. Wonderfully read by the narrator. Thank you.

The reader’s personification especially of Nelly was just incredible, and there were many things I picked up on that I didn’t while reading the book years ago thanks to the clarity in the reading! Found a new love for this book for entirely different reasons than the reasons I loved it back when I was a teen. ♥️ love those kinds of books, always getting something new from it every time you read it!

One of the only books I've re-read not once but twice. It's a shame that so many adaptations leave out the second generation which is essential to making the story come full circle. Most people who have not read the novel mistakenly think this was a love story, not in the least helped by the references in Anna Todd's After, and that Heathcliff and Catherine were anything but deeply-flawed and selfish. Heathcliff's behaviour towards the next generation, including his own son, was particularly cruel. It's the utter blackness of Heathcliff's soul that makes this a compelling read, in my opinion, and which is why I keep coming back for more.

Thank you. Thank you for putting in the effort to produce this. Extremely well read. Matching the high standard set by the authoress herself. As an Englishman, it is good to hear this wonderful book read by a woman, whose pleasant English accent, and more than competent ability, lets me now hear it in something nearer to Emily Bronte's own voice, as I can imagine it. Again, I know it took effort and time to produce it, and I can only say again, thank you.

Young Linton Heathcliff is so vexing and provoking! He’s such a baby, even at 16! I cannot believe that Cathy can put up with him, and, though I struggle to, I cannot see what she sees in him! I am disgusted with his conduct so far, and hate his guts. This concludes my mini-rant; thank you.

I think they're both horrible people in different ways. Yet I also feel a lot of sympathy for them in their situations. I think this is exactly how we're supposed to feel. Conflicted and interested. In the end, their whole family is pretty messed up and they're pretty much at fault in the end. If Heathcliff's dad didn't play favorites then there wouldn't have been so much jealousy and animosity, and his biological son wouldn't have tried to separate Heathcliff and Cathy by encouraging Cathy to be a high society spoiled brat and meanwhile abuse Heathcliff into becoming even more bitter and angry. Yet despite everything Heathcliff and Cathy still has such a strong connection they couldn't deny even while leading such different lives. A shame they weren't together in life. But a realistic tragedy in that way.

Thank you for the narration, one of the best narrations I have heard so far, which is probably why I can finish this book. Hate the book with a passion, bunch miserable bored egotistical self absorb neurotics that resemble a trashy reality tv show that is set in the 1800s. Hate every character, hate their speeches, hate their thoughts, and hate every aspect of this book with the exception of a few parts that I thought were cool. There are parts that narrate within a narration that is still in another narration, kind of made me think of inception. I did learn how to insult in creative ways, oh to be squashed like a robin's eggs, or to threaten someone with a crushed skull against my knuckles. Recommended speed 1.5 or at min 1.25

What a dreary life for a female even if she was beautiful and high born. I loved the Heathcliff portrayed by Olivier in the black and white movie but hate the monster from the book. I wonder how many girls imagined they could be a Cathy to a modern Heathcliff and found out, too late, that a sadist doesn't feel love. Is there a filmed version of the complete book? I don't think Timothy Dalton or Fiennes are believable as Heathcliff. A young Colin Firth would have been a good choice. Thanks for sparing me from reading this depressing story.

Loved the narration but hated this book. It never happens that I don't like even one character from a novel but I guess there's a first time for everything. Plot was great and descriptive but these self absorbed and abusive characters vexed me to no end. My gosh Heathcliff is not an anti-hero, he's a freaking villain and Catherine is his equally selfish female counterpart who's tolerable only because she dies early.
