I absolutely HATE the fact that they listened to the chinese playerbase complaining that "waifus" shouldn't be hurt.. That was so effin dumb 😑 changing the story is okay but changing the brutality of Crownless's introduction was a Grade S Tier offense 😤

Stop with the misinformation, there were no complaints about the brutality of this scene, but rather that the character's development time was too short for them to care if she dies or not.

Lorewise the game depict an nightmarish apocalypse with war and destruction everywhere, yet nobody dies, bleed, etc. I can understand they want to ommit violence to reach an broader audience but it looks goofy as hell

@@whatamess8894really 😮,but i used to follow through this game and saw asll death threats devs received for being called gi copy and receiving such graphical death threats .and cn community litterally complaining and criticizing about the brutality ,death of yangyang and NOT JUST PACING of story and other aspects.they were even specific about it too.cant find those complaints nowadays probably deleted.so i dont know for majority of CN players but all i can say is there were many players complaining about that intensity .so please stop with the defending CN .please hope we can see all sides of the complaints ❤

I prefer this CBT version of confrontational Chixia and cold Baizhi. That way, Kuro can write them some character development as the story progresses, like Shorekeeper. Now there's no intrigue to them story-wise. sadge

Maybe they change it for the long term like Yangyang is too sus in my opinion her personality is too soft like someone who holds a big secret or something in her past will be a main event in the future

FR! based opinion. and tbh, I feel like the characters are really boring and have no real role in the story exept just being rover's friend's and trusting them blindly. In the cbt version of them seem more like real people in an apocalyptic world where you can trust pretty much no one. (of course that is MY opinion, I am sure that some other someone will disagree)

As far as I understand now, is that all the taced discords are a mindless monsters breaking out of some realm and attacking people. However, crownless here talks, thinks and holds some backstory that holds a grudge against rover. Does that make the entire taced discord population conscious beings? Which version was the initial goal I swear if they had the entire vision of entire taced discord civilization planned and scratched it because players wanted more simping I'm gonna go mad

I can't deny it seems more interesting. With this line they can set up more development paths for multiple characters instead of one. The only issue I see with the CBT story is Awu, and from what I've heard, how similar it was to Genshin. If we can get the Technical Test Theme through Jiyan's Domain OST, then I hope Kuro can recycle this story for the upcoming regions.

I will never shut-up about how I prefer the atmosphere and the character development in CBT, including the cutscenes. Not saying it's perfect (far from it) but they went overboard when changing the narrative and even just the atmosphere/vibe/feel. I also don't like the idea of them nerfing the story bosses when they could've just done what PGR does, revive the characters but maintain the difficulty. I remember that scene when the bell rung and Chixia remembered Yangyang and was worried. I Hope they go back to their original direction in Rinascita.

I agree the story seems generic now at the start atleast but It became unique especially in the 1.3 main quest and who knows maybe they are planning somethibg bug in the future of the story Tbh I was sus of yangyang like she has a big secret that will happen in the future and maybe she has some dark past. I said this because her personality is too soft and a too soft character has some big secrets or past they hide or don't remember who knows maybe we will see this version fo Chixia when that happens XD😅

What's done is done, only option is to bring some of the aspects and put to future use. I saw some old CBT and it's really cool, I don't blame the devs, they kinda listen too much at that time but I blame some overcrying China dudes who doesn't like their self insert be overlyhated and getting growth/trust from the people in a story to be engaging. Only best thing we can do is recommended and add new stuff/OOL in every survey guys, I want my snowboard and surfing outside of events

But if they're gonna do what they did with PGR then I have no worries. The story and lore, specially the character development, in that game is one of the best I've experienced in a gacha.

The final release really should've been like this. It fits more considering the Crownless is categorized among the high level threat types of entities. There were actual stakes on the line here, going so far as to show one of the important main cast nearly dying because of it. It would've been perfect for world-building as well since it explains AND shows the effects and consequences of how wuthering and tacet energies work, rather than info dumping in hopes that the players would read chunks of texts back to back. Although I appreciate that Kurogames treats the mc like a bad*ss, I would much prefer if the power scales were balanced, that way it's more engaging and fleshed out instead of a "heh, we're the mc anyways, we'll win".

people are talking about the story aspect but its a shame even the latest Hologram Crownless still doesnt have all of the moves the CBT1 Crownless had. Crownless even had a Parry and also a Dodge & Counter that happened incredibly quickly and it even shared the same visual effect as the player's Perfect Dodge. It was overall a harder fight than the launch version and it unfortunately made sense they decided to tone the literal tutorial boss down.

@@JUICYbluepanda2 Not really... The setting has the potential to be a dark fantasy. And some of the side-stories go into darker places. But the main story mostly feels like stardard power fantasy anime with an OP amnesiac protagonist who is adored by everyone and can solve every problem with relative ease, without ever truly being at risk or having to sacrifice anything.

Ofc they can put a risk on Rover after fighting of the tethys system , like the system not work properly anymore making it no use of predicting lament instead of hinting us that Abby gave something to it.

I dont wanna talk about which version have better visual, cutscene but i prefer the cbt2 story progression , everyone was cautious toward Rover which make more sense because a Resonator can alone solo an Elite Opponent and absorb it with hands . The final release ver make everyone too over friendly with Rover make it less realistic and too childish imo , almost feel like Genshin 😂

Nice video. Unpopular opinion but I like the current version. Story-wise, we don't even know these characters yet, so there's minimal impact of them getting folded. Also, why make the first boss this strong? You have less room to move forward to show power imbalance between hero vs foe if you do this at the start, to an insignificant boss. I mean, he has significance but that isn't really explored in the main story. Nonetheless, it would be too much, that's why they pulled back.

The tutorial Crownless had most of the Hologram moves and some tutorial only moves, and his HP was adjusted for tutorial so its not a long fight. The presentation was the highlight. If i were to compare, PGR had the tutorial boss be Alpha

While we couldn't exactly experience this unless making a new account, this scene is too good to remain as beta only. I love how cbt character designs arent too fan service. Like the camera angle here make me focus on the character movement/behavior more than the actual release version, where my eyes always go for their open side-boob clothes designs

Like they can change everything else but making crownless less intimidating when literally in lore he's been one of jinzhous biggest threat is just bad move from kuro. And yangyang overclocking actually puts something at stake in the story. Chixia and baizhi's reactions are warranted bcs a random just defeated a big threat. They could've kept that and change the rest.

I like ww, just hate the way the story is told, plus the story isn't even all that good to begin with, feels way too friendly and samey off the get go, especially since i know kuro for pgr, like in pgr i could tell it has a solid story despite skipping nearly all of it, oh well the cn playerbase will always have the last say...if they prefer the harem mc route kuro will take that route, since they don't wanna anger the elder gods over on that side, i really wish we got this version instead though, it feels more interesting, more alive, gah i hate the harem mc type shit ww has because it makes the game feel cheap as hell when it has so much going for it, oh well

This is Wuthering Waves i wanted Cold,badass,terrifying and apocolyptic instead of the present version where the goal is add a another waifu to the harem of the overlord MC. Seriously, this world was designed for this kind of story. nah but the present is all happy happy happy colorful vibrant eyecandy garbage. This butchering was the sole reason I left this game. even PGR's story is way better than this. the new rewritten story is forced into the CBT story's world. I will never play it ever again, no matter how many nominations it receives or how popular it gets. I wanted a quality, serious story but got shit beacuase I am a story lover.
