So, parry is part of the base kit? And how does it work? Like does it have a CD like a skill so you can't chain parries or you can just clang clang chain parry like Sekiro or Ghost of Tsushima?

It's more on the enemy side than character side. See the flashing circle on some boss attacks? any attack that hit when it flashes will parry.
