Finally an in depth look at her kit! I finally got to start playing yesterday and I didn't even care if I didn't get the 5 stars I wanted as long as I got Danjin. Also I didn't realize just how much of her damage actually comes from that heavy attack! I finally beat my first boss yesterday and was getting my butt handed to me but on a run where I was nearly about to beat him I forgot about heavy attack and realized oh wait my bars full and then the heavy attack chunked the dude health so quickly I freaked out 😅.

This was pretty neat! I've been maining danjin for quite a while now, so i believe i have gotten a bit better at staying alive even if i take a hit or two, (mainly verina comes in clutch but we don't talk about that) I had been using the generic combos that the game suggested, and i just learned about the modified combo, will have to practice it as it seems really convenient and better to use. Guess subscribing you really came in handy! Really appreciate the guide, looking forward for more and i hope the resonators i mentioned before will get their guides soon enough! 😌👌

not bad not bad, my preferred combo is similar but i like to start with a then s so like a s a s s a s a s s s etc etc while using jumping attacks or dodges to animation cancel the final hits at times for more (free) damage. a few things i've also find very useful with Danjin is parrying with skill instead of basic for free charge and using her ult to give more time to parry an attack you couldn't react fast enough to. i do like starting fights with Crownless too for free havoc damage buffs too, just a few of my findings but good vid!

Thank you for the guide. Your Danjin guide is the clearest of all I watched. But I still cant find any guides on how to build and use Danjin in Havoc Rover team with Rover being the carry. Should she use an ER weapon and Concerto energy regen? And what is the rotation? Even though so many videos keep saying that team is insane, no one explains that team in detail.

How does dodging effect your place in your combo? If you are part way through a combo do you need to start the combo over? Or do you just default to the 2 skill option?

After a perfect dodge, do the Dodge Counter (A S S) which applies Incinerating Will again, then look at your Passive Bar and judge which combo will be the best fit to get to 100%. Doing a dodge counter is basically the same thing as doing the 2 part combo, but you gain double the amount of passive :b

I am playing Danjin and I was wondering about her weapon options. I now use the 4-star one you can select from the box. I plan on selecting the 5-star one once I hit lvl 45. Online I also hear players say the craftable is also good for her, does it even compete with the 5-star one ?

I'd rather not level another sword unless the current sword can be used by another built character. It's early gamez and you would want to use resources as wisely as possible

A 4 star weapon will never compete with a 5 star, just because of the base ATK of a 5 star (% buffs ONLY scale from your weapon and base character ATK, any flat ATK from echoes or other sources are just added on top and are not calculated with %atk). The only time a 5 star would probably be worse (and if so just slightly), if it had something dumb as it's secondary stat like DEF and the given 4 star had literal perfect substats to utilize. But given the current 5 star sword has crit rate and an always active effect, it is in an insane upgrade to any sword user.

@@hellohororo1075 That being said, we have an extreme abundance of weapon xp materials and they can also be crafted from ores unlike resonator and echo xp. There is no reason to hold back on upgrading weapons imo.

The 4* weapons all perform pretty similarly on her, so just use your highest duped one. The 5* one is significantly better though, compared to non-duped 4*s (as you'd expect :b) Edit: Except the Energy Regen one

I think it would be nice to refer to the passive as just a number, since 5 skills get to the middle, and 10 skill goes to the max, we can just call the charges "3 charges" or something and not use fractions.

Fractions are more annoying to understand, you're right, but in practice, if you spam only E, it takes 6 swings to reach 50% and 12 swings for 100%, and it's the same case with doing only the 2 part combo. Doing the 2 part combo 3 times, (aka 6 swings) brings you to exactly 50% as well, so I went for the consistent way of explaining the passive generation, it ain't pretty I know 😅

My doubt about her kit is how much more dmg do you do when you use the heavy attk (when you end the combo so to speak) than when you just use AA SS or AAA SSS. Like i assume she deals more dmg but didnt test how much yet.

Verina is a must have team mate for her. It keeps her HP steady and allows her to just play normally. Build Verina with only energy recharge and attack.

Imo if you don't like the idea of Danjin using her own hp to cast skills, you better off not using her at all. At s5 she gets increased damage while being at less than 60% hp which further benefits her risky playstyle.

After some retesting, her Chaoscleaves can also be swap cancelled, however you lose the last portion of the damage, which is 30% of the total Chaoscleave damage. Sorry for the wrong info😅

Jianxi works okay with dajin, put the full heal set on jianxi(15% atk bonus+10% dmg bonus from turtle) and only cast lvl 1 shield for smoother rotation

Umm, IMHO my combo for the 100% gauge might be faster than yours. at 04:56 yours took around 10-11 seconds from 0 to 100 to the final heavy attack. Mine need 9 seconds if done correctly. The combo is S A A S S S ---> A ---> S A A S S S ---> A A S S then the heavy attack. Go try, hope it can help.

Go to your list of Resonators, go to the one you want to test, then there should be a Book Icon with a person on it, click that :D Once you finish the tutorial, you can choose to stay to keep testing on the dummies.

My biggest gripe with her as a design is the fact that it's hard to use her perfectly in mobile. Does the AASS combo still works even when i couldn't reach the enemy? Her mark is also so small especially to larger monsters. They should've just add sfx with her like Sanhua's detonate. Additionally her burst should've had an emergency heal mechanic. While her mechanic would be fine as is, Kuro removing that burst heal of her S6 from beta annoys tf out of me. She would've been a much better Hutao by design. Full combo shouldn't make her literally on 1 hp. Maybe a 35%-40% hp limit would've been fine. She's strong but one mistake and she's just dead.
